I found this wonderful article belatedly because something made me Google his name and up this great account of John. It captured him so well. We lived in Santa Fe from 87 to 97 and loved West End Christmas, even traveling back to Santa Fe to see it after we moved to Colorado. Play on John, I'm sure your "rabbit ears" headgear is now sporting a halo (albeit somewhat tarnished) in that music hall in the sky.

Talked to John 3 years ago while in town on vacation. Had dinner with his aunt and uncle - great folks. He was a talented guy with fantastic music.
