better late than never?
My kids are being pulled from learning any religion coz they aint getting brain washed! Educatation authority in the uk has another motive and it is not teaching our kids about maths or english, but leading them down the path to Islam. Might sound a little over the top but why else would they be forcing this punishment on non-muslim children. |
You're absolutely right, and more parents should pull their children out of R.E. lessons. They're talking about introducing some forms of sharia law - how long before full sharia law is demanded - and implemented? Nu Labour are trying to make Britain into a Muslim country. |

Our schools are out of control.
Public schools should not be allowed to teach more than they can prove to be fact. Neither of which are religion or evolution. And, even if they teach this stuff, they should only describe it as a theory or a myth. But how many religions are there? Religious beliefs practically change from individual to individual. What has happened here is over the line! My kid can study and or follow any religion he may choose. I have no problem with that. But no teacher is going to tell them which religion to study. Besides, who made teachers an authority on the world's religions? Bowing for Allah? Good thing it wasn't my kid. Because... my kid's soul and whether or not he has one is nobody's business except his and his alone. It sure isn't some school teacher's business. We need to get our school system back on track. |

Teachers aren't supreme beings.
Nor do they have supreme knowledge. But, it would seem they have supreme control. They need to be harnessed. And not allowed to teach more than they can PROVE! |

I could not agree more, houses built for the purpose of praying directions, toilets built into places not to cause offence, these houses are built for muslims and muslims only, wonder when the British will have houses built for there needs and only them. If this had happened but it was muslims forced to pray to god and say the rosery, make confession, bless themselves with holy water, do you think that muslims would not be protesting outside alsager school for justice. Seriously folks when is it time for US to protest against these injustices or are we all to lazy? Are we all going to wait till it is to late, and our kids are forced to practice Islam? When is it going to be the right time to stand up and say no more? Guess that is not right of me to say we have rights and we have opinions..... Do we have the right? Answer this question and tell me if you lot are prepared to protest coz I think it is just me. |
Correction: Public schools should not allowed to teach more than they ( can't ) PROVE! |

OUR SCHOOLS???? This happened in the United Kingdom, not the United States. |
Yes, of course, you are right... Yet, I have read that there are similar things happening in US schools too. So I ask, if anyone would... Please provide this forum of some examples of this type of behavior happening in the US public school system too. |

ALL teaching about Islam and its absurd rules should be banned from schools. This is an absolute disgrace, and the teacher should be sacked and the Head as well. They are not fit to be teachers.

Does England have separation of Church and State? This is a real question. I have met several people here in the US that are now home schooling their children because they don't like what is being taught in the public schools. The resources available to them is phenomenal. Can you home School in England? |

I'd push for legal action too. |

As I understand, England still has a state supported church: The Church of England. Many of the European countries still have state supported churches and it was this tax support for particular denominations that was meant when talk of "separation of church and state". By the way, there is no mention of separation of church and state in the Constitution. It says that the government shall not establish a religion (denomination or state church). The phrase containing those words came in a letter several years after the fact from Thomas Jefferson, where in he was asuring the Baptists that the Government would not interfer with their practise of their faith.

Doesn't matter, the mere fact that there is no established religion in the US. Means specifically that our Forefathers were correct in making that a part of the first amendment. Meaning that there should be no infringement upon each other. I forgot about the Church of England. But it is the Church of England, not the mosque of England.

I quite agree that the teacher over stepped her authority and needs to be disciplined. It is terrible that the authorities who presume to force someone (especially children) to act against their good conscience.

Being asked to pray is different than being forced to pray. What happened to freedom of choice and freedom of religion in the UK?
I hope the Brits know what Chamberlain's Syndrome is because most of them are suffering from it. |
