I live about half a mile up from Harecastle tunnel and never even knew it was there.

I love walking alongside canals and watching the boats going through locks. They're losing a lot of character now,imo,through the gentrification of Stoke on Trent. It used to be fascinating walking from Etruria to Trubshaw Cross with crumbling warehouses on the opposite bank.
