local forums in sheffield u.k

I spend hours reading the forums here on TOPIX. Many are very interesting and even usefull with advice etc. But here we have a Professional Forum. None Political or Religious, None Abusive to those that post regardless of the subject......Whew. What a breath of frsh air from those that exist here in Sheffield U.K. The largest of these is the Sheffield Forum. Whilst it was a great site when first formed. It has now become, Undemocartic, It has been hyjacked by the Marxist Left Wing element. It is so easy to be banned from this site. If a complaint is made it has to be made in private. Complaints cannot be published in a post. But this is wrong. It is a members right to make their complaints known in case some other member has a similar complaint Also the fact that the Sheffield Forum has quite a lot of Moderators. These seem to get a kick out of the power they have to rebuke and accuse members of being incorrect. Mention Benefit Fraudsters, Very soon that post will be stopped. Mention anything bad about the Council, Police, Labour Party, That post is stopped. Mention any bad thing about the Lib Dems or the Conservatives These posts will be allowed to carry on regardless. But why should one mod be allowed to censor posts. These should be censored by someone that is not involved or that has experience. It is hard work running a forum. Many Mods that are on the Sheffield Forum are either unemployed, Work in a Council Office, Or they have very little else to do. But if they want to do this job, Hard as it is, It should be done correctly and without bias. Sheffield forum is being wrecked by this Political Correction and Left Wing attitudes. If a member disagrees with a mod even in a post they are not allowed to say so. Yet they can openly disagree with a member. So MODS can post or answer posts as they wish without an open reply.

That is why I like TOPEX, very open, Very honest. A really good Forum that is World Wide and respected.

I agree fully. It is time that Sheffield Forum was examined. There is racism and also discrimination in all forms. As you said a good forum when it first started. Now it is Politically Correct. Members have to be very carefull not to mention certain subjects. To speak against the Council or the Police is not wise. I have been a member for a very long time indeed. But I have been banned from the forum, The excuse more than one registration. There are a few on my network that log into the Sheffield Forum. What they did not like was my complaint about bullying by moderators, Mods that think they are all powerfull, Sat at home with nothing better to do than follow those they do not like around the site deleting posts. It is now time that Sheffield Forum was cleaned up and turned back over to those that can run it better,. It has been hyjacked by certain Council Workers and at least two Police officers that I know of.
