Def Leppard doesn't have a song entitled "Rock It", that's Herbie Hancock. The correct name of their opening song from this concert is entitled "Rocket". You really should fix that. Otherwise, great review.

We didn't stay for Def Leppard, but the REO set was one of the best I have ever heard. That band just keeps on getting better every year.

Wow, by not staying to see Def Leppard, you missed the best part! While REO is good and I am still a fan of Kevin and the guys, the Sheffield sons (DL) are the genuine article and will always be #1. They are the most down-to-earth, talented musicians in the business. I'll see them in Detroit on April 19. Hopefully you'll catch them next time. You can count on the Leps - they are the best of the best. Rex Johnson wrote: We didn't stay for Def Leppard, but the REO set was one of the best I have ever heard. I'm simply not a fan of Def Leppard, that's all. I never got into their music. I know they put on a great show, but I went there to see REO. I'm really not a concert-goer, per say, anyway. Besides, I had to get home to my 15-month-old twins.:) Honestly, if not for them, I probably would have stuck around. When REO toured with Styx and Journey a few years ago, I stayed for those two bands and was pleasently surprised at how much I enjoyed their sets.
Your description of Def Leppard is exactly how I would describe REO, which is probably why they get along so well and enjoy touring together, along with Styx. It's amazing how once-rivals come together for the love of music.

You are so right. I guess as we all get older, we tend to mellow out a bit. Good for you being a great dad and getting home to your twins. Family is so important. Mine is bummed a bit today - the Detroit show set for tonight didn't happen as planned - it has been postponed until August 23. Both Phil and Joe got sick with Joe getting the worst of it. An upper respiratory infection is nothing to mess with and I'm glad they were able to rearrange the schedule in order to allow him to rest a bit before continuing on. We'll just have to wait a little longer to see them. The health of the guys is so important and we want them around for many more years to come. I will look forward to seeing Styx and REO as well. All three are great examples of the best music in the world. Love-n-peace to the Leps as they continue their tour. Thanks for your reply.
