At last! Tesco will finally be coming to sandiacre, its about time that something was done to lift the area, its an absolute dump, and as for taking away trade from local shops, l have to ask, what local shops? theres nothing there,

Well that's NINE tescos within 4 miles that right NINE! From the big supermarkets to the small tesco locals.
The chaos caused by the building work is going to be a nightmare.
Some one said what shops in sandiacre?
Well heres just a few.....
Newsagents (two of), butches, three cob shops sweet shops, flouriest. Not to mentions the shops in Stapleford.

They will build a bridge over the old bridge which is the cross rods and main access into stapleford and Sandiacre from the M1 junction of the a52.
If anyone who lives in stapleford can recall the last time they did road works there on the bridge. The cue of traffic went from the bridge, way past Brookhill street, past the roach (Toton lane traffic lights where the chequers pub is)thats over a mile long, and that was for a week.

Now think of this happening for weeks or months at a time, while they build this.
Then once built we have more wagons coming in and out of Marks street into the site, then the traffic buses and the like, oh its going to be so much fun!

I agree with what others have said, it will have a knock on effect, to the local shops, be they in stapleford or sandiacre.

But for those that want it I say this, you got a tescos on the way great news!
Just when everything snarled up causing long delays and you're sat in your car/bus thinking, how much longer, just think back to what I and others have said.....

No Tesco please. There are enough of all of them now. They will want one in Risley next, just you wait. Everywhere they go, the surrounding areas soon turn rough.
I want to live where there are more local small individual shops. I live in Sandiacre now, but not for long, Im moving away!
