There is no god, never has been. Religion has always been used as a form of conformity. Accept science, it is the only truth there is.

I feel so sorry for you, and your family if you have been raised to believe that there is no God. God is all around you everyday, and if you do not accept him into your life, and accept Jesus Christ as your savior, then you will enter the gates of hell. It's not too late, accept him, and truely believe, and you will be saved.

The Catholics are not the only religion who believe in God and Christ the Savior. Others that believe are the Protestants, Baptists, and Mormans, we are all Christains, no matter what our minor different beliefs may be, the basis of our beliefs, being God and his Son Jesus Christ, Our Savior. Child molestation, is a disgusting, hurtful, and sin of a crime, but it does not only happen in Catholisism, it's happening all over the world, in your neighborhood, down the street, everywhere you go and everywhere you look there is a child who is suffering this pain by people from all walks of life and all backgrounds, and all religions.

I was so unbelievable close to going to see that movie. Then my friend stopped me and suggested I read this article. I'm blown away. It's terrible how movies are now taking on hidden messages. It's almost like the parents have to decode them before letting their child engage in watching it. I had no idea there was any controversy behind this film. The producers make it so appealing with the famous actors and action-packed previews. I personally am a Christian and have beliefs. I don't necessarily not watch movies unless the message it crystal clear...example The Da Vinci code. I'm kind of upset that this film has a hidden message. I'm glad this article was posted. The information is very insightful and I'm glad I saw it before I actually saw the movie and was offended.

You consider that the Catholic Church doesnt believe that other "Christain Denominations" are churches because they don't recognize the authority of the pope "minor" WOW!!!

The big difference is that everywhere else in the world they dont have a multi billion dollar organtization in over 100 countries to help move them around and hide them from prosecution. After all bishop law from boston gets his christmas cards at the vatican not walpole.

Why not see the movie first and decide for yourself before you allow you opinion to be given to you?

Pullman has only made people ask more questions about God and when they do, they will find that Pullman is lacking in evidence and that Christians have more evidence that proves God. In the end the question of faith residese only in the person. Pullman has helped bring about more reasons to witness to people. I also appreciate the information that this site has provided it was very useful.

Actually true science points to God. Don't be decieved. Even Darwin realized his mistake of unbelief, unfortunately he was dying when he realized that. Dont let that be you one day. Please.

I, personally, am very excited about this movie. However, I am not going to alter my religious beliefs because of the contents or "undertone" of this film, because it is just that- a film. I think we should have a little more faith in people that they will not choose their belief system on the basis of a movie. I think this movie might make some question the church and the idea of God but questioning does not make one less Christian. Questioning your beliefs is human nature and we all do it and this could be a great opportunity for Christians to answer some lingering questions that may be brought up in the movie. My advice: see this movie and not be an uneducated idiot protesting for the sake of protesting.
