Liverpool Is Racist

Liverpool is the headquarters of racism. I, as black man, from Liverpool (Toxteth) think that Liverpoool is the most racist place in the UK. You go into the city center and you will not see ONE black face working anywhere. 30 years nearly since the riots and NOTHING has changed. Black people are still the last hired and 1st fired. Still there is police harrassment and bad housing. Nothing changes, not to mention the killing of Anthony Walker.

i have only been there once and i would have to agree it does seem a racist place, they always go on about that liverpool is adiverse multicultural place but i don't see it that way, the whites need a good seeing to, if you know what i mean.

I think that regardless of where you live, there are ignorant and racist people everywhere. I've lived in Liverpool all of my life, and have a lot of friends here who are black people; all are thriving, in successful jobs, are not discriminated in any way and are scousers through and through. To generalise and say 'Liverpool is racist' is a rather sweeping remark; there are pockets of racism in every big city in the UK no matter where you go. As for us whites needing seeing to, lol, come on, one or two idiots who happen to be caucasian or whatever can give the rest of us a very bad name mate.

I am a young black man (18 years old) im from Manchester and i have white friends that are from an live in Walton Liverpool but i havent visited them i am curious of what the area is like and weather it would be safe to go to?

I'm from Liverpool and I don't agree.
there are loads of black people working in places where I go.
I love all people no matter what colour they are, but you will always get people who are going to be racist wherever you go.

I took my family to the town centre of Liverpool on a visit and was shocked to see that there where no black people. This made me feel very uncomfortable. I believe Liverpool is a racist town and will not visit again.

Perhaps you should visit Manchester and see the difference yourself.

Regrettably Liverpool is not alone in being racist. Racism is endemic throughout Britain and has been so for many years. As a visitor to Britain from Canada I was shocked to hear racist comments being expressed by so many people in such an open and unabashed fashion.

Of course theres racists in Liverpool. White on White, white on black, black on black, c of e on RC, Sunni on shiite, christian on moslem, moslem on jewish the list is endless. If anyone can show me a city/country that isn't I'd be surprised. You can only live your life the way you see fit. Personally I say live and let live as long as it dosn't bother anyone else.
