Pickles warns Tories: 'General election is not in the bag' Councils could save almost 150 million a year if they made sure they did not pay bills twice, Communities Secretary Eric Pickles claimed today.
Nation and regional governments could save far more if they ended the sick leave culture by simply making the worst offenders redundant and not replacing them. Since they don't turn up for work they can hardly be in an essential job.
hmm apparently common sense is lost in the government...
