I understand your venom towards pakis because the sikhs had the exact venom 300 years ago when our spiritual leader at the time had to introduce a different way of living and a different way of wearing clothes including the wearing of a turban( although that,s always been there, principally it's about keeping your hair). All this was done to stop people secretly trying to convert to islam in the face of rape, pillage and execution. By having a distinct idenity, no-one could hide and the islamist mughuls could be confronted head on. That is where the idea of the sikh soldier came from and where the wearing of swords was compulsory.Now it is symbolic but a reminder of the sacrifices of the dead in order for people to practise whatever they wanted.
Sikhs don't go around in turbans and swords for the fun of it, and i understand that in a mostly secular country like the uk, such sights can become overwhelming, it's just a natural way of behaving. Put it this way, if there was a sudden influx of western people in Pakistan (not that that is going to happen) or India in the traditionally conservative areas, and all they saw was the erection of churches and scantily clothed women, i think you'd see riots! But we have a history together and it makes you think why the British chose India when Africa was closer, to underpin their empire. Whatever the legacies of colonial rule, the British were only doing what all other empires before it had done. I'm sure their intentions were good and they greatly contributed to the structural parts of modern India (law and order, transport, defence)because they saw potential in the people. And also they realised that a country with a billion people was not going to stay in the dumps forever, and that they should build a stake in that future prosperity. So if you like they invested there, however, when you become 'owners of something' you don't think twice about taking something!
i'm a Sikh, but i'm cleanshaven, and no-one out of my family has ever been baptised. I don't think it's ever going to happen now that most of us are assimilated into the host culture. But what we still retain is pride in our beginnings and who we are, and i wish you native Brits had the same inclinations, because then you wouldn't feel threatened all the time. You have got a long and proud history compared to past empires; why would you want to hide and be shameful of that?

To Giggs you read a small bit so does that make you an expert on the quran there are people who spend their whole life studying religious text from their own faith and they are still Norway near to understanding their own faith but you understand another religion to your own by reading a bit .

well I dont personally hate pakiz or any community, but sikhs are NOT pakiz, they are veryy different and they have a lot of history with each other! and there are some pakiz that hate sikhs and vice versa, because of history but some have put it behind them now.

Yhh I agree with you there are alot of things in the qoran that I don't agree with 2. I've seen that alot of muslims I know dont think for themselves or have their own views they just agree with everything the qoran says even though deep down they know its wrong or doesn't make sense. I'm Sikh but I've also got my own views and opinions, there are some things in the Guru Granth Sahib I don't understand or find it hard 2 believe and theres nothing wrong with that.

also im 100% with u about muslim attitude towards people who do not believe in islam at all, they call us infidels. no offence 2 the muslims but the reason they have that attitude towards us is because in the qoran it says 'u should fight or slay the heads of the infidels!' it also encourages them 2 convert people by persuasion, manipulation or force so when they do have this bad attitude towards us for not being muslim they are only following there religion. but still i cant understand why any religion would encourage people to kill other people, all these things are against sikhism.

If Ian Huntly was born in saudi arabia a few hundred years ago he could probably write his own book and create his own religion.

Some one sent me a email about muslims,things we don't see in papers and on tv.. I'm very shocked,and these people said they are peaceful lol! While I worked as a volunteer at a hospital for those that have lose their way there were some females who were put into the mental part of the hospital just because they got pregnant outside of marriage or were having affairs. The hospital I worked at had took people in until 20 years ago.

Their are people who have their kids taken away from them because people thought they are to young to have kids.

No one race is perfect not saying I condone what some parts of any race do but unless we go beyond the issue of race and faith and treat everyone equally then these disgusting and also the evil acts will be competed we are all the same I don't mean just being humans but we are all in the same boat we all have family members and also all life is valuable .
