1. You do not know if Noah happened or not. I know for a fact that Noah did not happen because too many things are impossible.

2. I also know that Noah is an allegory about unconditional faith.

3. We agree, that much of the Bible is not to be taken literally.

I'm quite satisfied that it never happened because it is impossible.

So where does that leave me? I have to look at what wisdom or nugget exists in the story. To me the real nugget is unconditional faith that only a righteous man would have. Was he perfect? Far from it. Next, I look to the most tragic figure in the Book of Genesis, which is God. God is hopelessly frustrated just like a person who is trying to prepare a special dinner for valued guests only to have everything turn out wrong. The people created in God's image are anything but Godly. Of course, these are but a couple of thoughts. It doesn't make a bit of difference if anything actually happened in the Bible, which is my point.

Isaiah 29:1-16 - God's judgment fell upon Jerusalem because of witchcraft.

Micah 5:12 - The Lord says .."And I will cut off witchcraft out of thine hand..."

Galatians 5:19-21 tells us that witchcraft is one of the 17 things listed as the lust of the flesh. Also, He tells us "that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God." Those who practice these things are not saved and will go to hell. But how precious the next 2 verses are!!! Galatians 5:22-23 says "But the fruit of the Spirit is LOVE, JOY, PEACE, LONGSUFFERING, GENTLENESS, GOODNESS, FAITH, MEEKNESS, TEMPERANCE: against such there is no law".
