Trump in Scotland to defend plans for golf resort

Scotland , You have St. Andrews right on the shore line why not another golf course? Take his money and give jobs to the jobless people in the area. Can't hurt the ecology any more than St. Andrews or other courses in Scorland , or is it you don't want competition? Capitalism is at work unless you kill it. Take his money He might do more for you later

I have applied for a "JOB" in this industry and they are too picky about who they want working for them. If you have not got a silver spoon in your mouth then dont bother applying...

Why would he want to build a golf resort away up there anyway. Most tourists want to see the home of golf which is in St Andrews not away up there in the country of the sheep.

perhaps he will open a hair advice clinic.

Dear Mr Giblets, i am sure you will find that scotland is usually the first on the receiving end of policy...ie, try it oot in scotland first....so dunno what you are moanin about!!...

you must be one of the few Jocks left in Scrotland - the rest are all in London, either in the government or drunk around Kings Cross station. Anyway , I am resident in Wales and Spain, away from the London jocks. I agree they try all the free giveawa´s in Scrotland first, as the English are the ones paying anyway.

Six teens indicted on mob action charges

Six teenagers from the Lake Forest area have been indicted by the Lake County Grand Jury on charges of mob action, three of them also for aggravated battery, for the brutal beating of a 22-year-old man.
The man, also a Lake Forest resident, was punched and kicked so severely that an eye socket was broken, amongst other injuries. His medical costs thus far total $10,500, and additional surgeries are needed, according to law enforcement officials.
It is the second time in two years that the six have been charged in a beating. For a 2005 incident, the Lake County state’s attorney’s office pursued charges into trial, but a judge in Circuit Court directed out the verdict before jury deliberations. That incident had occurred at a party, and witness testimony had been questioned.
The group includes five young men from Lake Forest and one from Lake Bluff, Robert E. Orlowski, 18, who lives in the 300 block of West Prospect Av. The Lake Forest residents are Stern K. Altholz, 18, of the 200 block of East Illinois St.; Michael Kurzydlo, 18, of the 500 block of Stablewood Ln.; Dean Debiase, 18, of the 400 block of Stable Ln.; Clark Montross, 19, of the 400 block of Thorne St.; and Jonathan S. Kirsch, 19, of the 1400 block of Lake Rd.
All six are charged with mob action, a Class Four felony which carries, upon conviction, a sentence of up to four years in prison, but is also probationable. Debiase, Montross and Kirsch are also charged with aggravated battery producing great bodily harm, a Class Three Felony which carries, upon conviction, a sentence of up to five years in prison, but is also probationable.
The six were indicted by the Grand Jury Jan. 31 and their arraignment is set for Feb. 15 before Judge Fred Foreman. Attorney James Bertucci of Lake Forest stepped up in Foreman’s court Thursday, representing Altholz, Montross and Kirsch, seeking to have their arraignments changed to a date when he will be available.
The group had attacked the victim because they mistakenly believed that he had called the police to report a teenage party, said Michael Mermel, chief of the felony trial division in the state’s attorney’s office.
The six went to a house in the 300 block of Basswood Rd., shortly after midnight last Dec. 29. Several witnesses saw them punch and kick the victim, Mermel said.
The three charged with aggravated battery were specifically identified, Mermel said, although the others may have also been involved.
