Budget? Where's the budget part. What really gets me is you include the phrase, "it's not cheap" in your article. Luxury on a budget implies some thrifty value. The article isn't bad. The video is. You definitely have the personality made for print ... and a face for radio. Change the title of the article. It's way off base ... com'on, breakfast for two at $35 is no bargain.

My wife and I returned from a two week stay in Edinburgh about a month ago ( Our daughter is doing a post-grad program at the University of Edinburgh)
Breakfast for two at $35 sounds about right for a three or four star hotel, but can be had for a lot less in one of the city's numerous cafès.
The writer of the article, William Hagman, is correct in saying that Edinburgh is a special city, it's allure comes from the foresight of it's citizens in maintaining the architectural integrity of the medievalness of buildings.
Like all of the UK, Edinburgh is not for the budget conscious, the British Pound (£) at the time of my visit equated to two dollars US plus transaction fees, so all expenditure automatically doubles it's cost State-side.
