War veteran Valek Jaworski of Melksham, with his Knights Cross of the Order of Merit of the Republic of Poland A POLISH Second World War veteran from Melksham, who was deported from his homeland to a Soviet slave labour camp, has been honoured by Poland for his service to the country - 70 years on.
