why do we need one in stapleford when there is one in long eaton and what about all the traffic long eaton is at stand still half the time since the new tesco was built there near asda i think stapleford will grind to a holt as well. why do you need a tesco when there is a lidl already there.

Everybody is saying the local shops will close if Tesco's opens. If the local shops were quality shops they would not have to worry.
Will Tesco's really cause competition with the shops already in Sandiacre.
Just take at the local wool shop, Tattoo, flowers,Sauna ??,Mobility, hair salon, dry cleaners.
So I do not think there will be a problem
I would like to live in a smart area.
what else will be built on the site ?

Make the area into a public park, bring back more trees and grass, not concrete.

there is no local shops in sandiacre, the place is a dump, Tesco coming to the area is the best thing thats happened to sandiacre in years, just be glad something positive is at last happening to the area, and stop moaning, you all know that oce the store is up and running you will be the first to shop there

Why Tesco??? Why not Asda, Morrisons or somebody else. There are too many Tesco's already. It is only a couple of miles to any of the other Tesco stores in the area. We want something different.
As for shopping in Tesco's I will not be and have no intention of every going in the shop if that is what is built. Far to many of their shops already.

What is the prob i live local i think it would be a good thing. Shops and the local area is ran down money comming into the area is a good thing and well bring people into stapleford to use local shops which are suffering now. The only shop that might have a prob is lidl say no more.

I am not against a Tesco in Sandiacre. Would be very good! Create jobs locally. It will bring people to Sandiacre so local economy should benefit.
