I am amazed that this illiterate has hard core followers even after all that he did to Uganda. Perhaps they were the very few who benefited from Amin's misrule, but did not contribute to Uganda.
OR are thses just hipocritical islamists. Amin did all anti-Islamic things. But then it is okay he would be forgiven by the merciful Allah since he completed a Hajj. |

Sanctions? Amin ran a regualr weekly supply jet to Stanstead airport to expesivley lift the scothc, etc for the troops. Amin set back Uganda by 2o years and the efects are still about. NRM were good reconstructive force for the first 7 years. But M7 is now prolifigate with the government money and thinks he is benovelent king. Amin is not a demonised because he is an African. He is a demonised for his actions, bad rule and as a very bad human. Shame on Saudis for offering the bufoon a refuge. |

Some people say things because they no too much but others say so because they don’t know or know too little. Similarly, others do so for the purpose of point scoring. However, the idea that ONLY western media like BBC & CNN tell the truth isn’t true when it comes to Africa unless he is a bit on the side to benefit (i.e. South Africa a case in point) Jut look at the state of all colonial nations are they progressing if so which way? Refugees still come to the master they even gave us a new name (Third World or Poor nations and yet they get their raw materials from the man they call poor) and here we are CONFIRMING how stupid we are. Those who buy such ideas often forget that Western Media is all about. Please say the right things for our own good.

It’s not the school that’s important; it’s what you do with the knowledge that you have and your level of judgement in all issues social and personal. University is good but its YOU that make it better. Have you changed your nation beyond what the colonialists left? I sincerely hope you are not in a foreign land yourself I’d like to know this. Britain built Uganda with the help of what you call illiterates and they did a perfect job where there is language problem, they use language interpreter they did not destroy what they never understood but built upon it. In the case Amin they even trained, promoted and encouraged Amin to remove Milton who himself was a hero, nationalist and a good Ugandan. So my brother our problems are partly colonial in nature and partly ourselves to sort-out. let us be honest to ourselves so that tomorrow our children can know what foundation we’ve built.

If there are any contributions or arrangements, I suggest you contact the late's daughter, Agnes Akulia Asiki, and son, Apollo Asiki, in Kampala on +256 782 324 707. The Kinshasa arrangements are being coordinated by the honorable Member of Parliament for Kakwa/Kumuro/Ingbokolo, Tel +243 990 903 362. The Hon MP told me that it would require about U.S $10,000 to repartriate the body home (i.e. U.S$ 3,000 for the fee for authorizing repatriation of bodies of deceased foreigners; U.S 5,000 plane charter; plus about U.S$ 2,000 for other associated costs e.g. preservation, coffin, coffin wrapping, handling, etc. The huge costs involved actually forced them to opt for a burial in Kinshasa. Probably, burial will be tomorrow. Hope this clarification suffices. Mike |

At the time of his demise, Col Asiki had started processing his repatriation to Uganda under the MONUC DDRRR program. unfortunately, his good intentions were overtaken by the speed of death. He was my good friend in Kinshasa. I helped link him with his family before the end of my tour of duty in Kinshasa (Uganda Embassy). Arrangements are underway for his burial. The Kakwa community in Kinshasa think, in view of current economic realities, he should be buried in Kinshasa. However, the family members in Kampala, Arua and Koboko wish his corpse could be transported for burial at his ancestral village in Koboko (Adibu), funds permitting. Pray for them. May his soul rest in etrnal peace. Please inform those whom you think need to know. Mike Bugason Re. thanks for Info. bro.mike bugason. I did fwd this to kakwa communities worldwide earlier. majid alem junior. |

It’s always a joyful thing when a child is born at the same time sad thing to lose loved ones. There is no land, which is designated for a particular human being. Land everywhere belongs to almighty (ALLAH) GOD and he created it for all. However, in the present circumstances, we’ve reached the later; we should now all submit our brother to his will and protection for him and him alone knows what he intends for us. May his soul rest in eternal peace a mina.
