Please Pesky I wish to maintain my dignity ,,, It was my arm not my posterior that got “Skewered” and I still came out of it Victorious with much bacon ham kilbasa and pork products to show for it. All of it I may add is happily brining and soaking and dry rubbing there way to gastro intestinal deletes as I write this blog. I am having some problems with this concept of “Mir” as I was informed by my wife that friends will receive some of the end result,,{A pretty good chunk} This will still leave me some for selling after we freeze what we need but still,, I suppose I should not be greedy and be happy that I am able to contribute to the greater good,,, I will say that the average Russian or Ukrainian are by nature pretty giving and friendly people. I also have learned to to question this as my wife will comment that I act like a greedy German ,,,lol,,, There are many jokes here about that concept,,, Cheers

Phew, what is that smell? It cameright through the computers electonics. Oh- it is just that Pissy opened his mouth again.

It is too bad that Pissy does not understand country generosity. When a country person butchers they almost always share some with friends. I do the same with my garden (vegetable). It is hard to raise veggies in our mountain climate but I manage. I plant and tell God, " There it is, I planted it, I will care for it, you prosper it, and I will share it. I ALWAYS have more than enough for my needs and also for sharing with friends and neighbors. It is too bad that Pissy is such a greedy, angry, hateful person. He certainly would not fit in Sticky and my country neighborhoods.

I really don’t mind when the wife and Mother in law do this {give away some extra food}, I mean its only right as I have more then most of the folks I live around and there is certainly no harm in sharing when you have a abundance. As long as she is discreet about it I don’t care. I kind of like the way every one here helps one another. The spirit of community is still strong here. I remember blogging about two years ago when a bad spring hit the Crimean coast and the roof was blown off my flat in town. Every one got together in the units and pooled the money for the repair,, The two old women who live below mine did not have the funds because there sons were party boy bums. We helped them and it was a good thing. I suppose you have to live here to understand it. There are lots of jokes here about how stingy the Germans are,, So you never want to be “Greedy Like a German”,,,lol,,,

They do not beg Pesky, they just do for each other. I think it’s a really cool trait and the way the community has accepted me was the reason I don’t mind doing that. If there are ripe apricots I get apricot preserves,, or a cake ,, If I need some help they are always more then willing and I do in kind for them also. Apparently you have only met bad people here,,, I do pity you in that respect,, I have also met some “Bad Element” here {especially when I get near Odessa} but even there I know some very good folks. For the most part just normal folks trying to get by,,, You should really lighten up old man,,,:)

Sticky: I must agree with you. Ukrainian people are great. I remember when I went to the Ivana Kupala festival in 2010. There was a friend of my wife's who had a basket of squash she had harvested from her garden. Even though it was for her family she would not HEAR of our refusing to take one for our next meal. I have often been amazed by the kindness and generosity of the people I met. Interestingly enough, as you get farther out of the cities and into the country, the generosity goes up exponentially. Regardless of Pissy's hatred, I maintain that Ukrainian people are the "Salt of the Earth".

In a way I pity Pissy. He is so filled with hatred that he is incapable of saying ANYTHING kind or positive about ANYONE. Poor Pissy.
