I wish you could read this out loud with all of the errors....but sadly, you clearly don't know what they are.. The abuse here is that you or anyone else never took the time to teach yourself how to properly spell and write...I counted 5 errors here

it's a friggin sport. it's something that some girls like to do. and no i am not one of those moms. if my daughter asks to be in one i will say yes. if she asks to join the basketball team or football team i will say yes.
and if she does want to be in a pageant i will be there cheering her on. same thing with a sports team.
wtf is the difference in these crazy moms and the crazy dads at football games? there is no difference.

i will do whatever it takes to keep my kids involved in any sport they want. and just maybe if i keep the younger 2 as busy as i kept the older 2 they won't have time to go out and party and do drugs and sleep around. it worked with the 2 older kids. and if anybody don't like it i invite you to go to a real pageant (not this T&T crap} and just watch. i've been to plenty and i have only seen one of those moms.

My only concern with pageants is the psychological damage it can cause. You're making beauty a priority to your children in a society that already encourages unreal models for how you're suppose to look. Being exposed to it by media is one thing, but exposing your kids to it personally, will show them that you are okay with this. So it's nothing like sports. Sports encourage you to work hard to get better at something and mostly encourage values such as teamwork, good sportsmanship, and like I implied before, hard work. Pageants do this to an extent, but you can't make yourself prettier than another girl (with the exceptions of weight loss, makeup, and clothing). But that's all just my opinion (and many psychologists), what do I know.

This is NOTHING like a sport! A sport teaches responciabity and sportsman ship. This teaches you, you are worthless if you are not pretty and superficial values. It brings out the WORST in girls and woman. It is also a pervert's wet dream. Shame on these mothers that push their small children into this kind of disgusting crap!

so if somebody's little girl asks if they can COMPETE they should not be allowed? thats total BS.
it's competition just like you have to COMPETE at any sport.
you people just want to keep playing the pervert card.
there will be perverts anywhere. if a parent is doing their job then the perverts can't get to their kids.
wonder how many pervs like to watch little boys football games?

If my 14 year old daughter ask to participate I would say yes. If she was 6 years old I would tell her no. By now she has developed a sense of values and her moral compass. She understand physical beauty does not last forever it is enternal beauty that last a life time. As far as keeping your child from pervert's that go from one what you call "competition" to the next. Why don't you go ask the Ramsey family about that? They will tell you that you can not always protect your child. So why would you want that kind of attention to be brought on your 1 to 12 year old? No one knows how many of these men are out there.
seriously?

You still avoided the questions. Why would you want to teach your little children superficial values or bring unwanted attention to them? The HAVE ruled out the entire family read up on the case.

what questions have i avoided? the one about why i would enter my 1 or 2 year old? thats easy. my kid my business. or how about because i feel like it. whose business is it to tell me how to raise my kids?
i've been around these pagenats a few times with my niece and i'm telling you they are not like toddlers and tiaras. you do understand that these people are paid to be on this show don't you?
my niece has been in them since she was 2 years old and she is in her 30s now and theres nothing wrong with her. good education (she won enough to pay for half of her education)and a good job. she has 2 sons and if they asked to be in one i'm sure she would say ok.
the only thing some of you people know is what you see on tv. do you believe everything you see on tv or hear on the news? oh yeah i forgot! it's been reported that the ramsey family has been cleared!! judge much?

You have still yet to respond to any of the valid points. You're just acting defensive and offended. I love your reasons though. I bet that's what unfit mothers and fathers tell CPS when they ask questions about how they treat their children. My kid, my business. You're really defending your point here very well.

So, basically, even though, this thread is specifically about the television program, Toddlers and Tiaras.....you are calling everyone dumb, because they watch the show about these child beauty contests, yet you insist it is not realistic, because other child beauty contests are different...is that correct? Have you passed on this keen intelligence to your offspring?

Daily Horoscope for May 25

Aries

Your emotions have the upper hand, making you rather fiery and fervent. That's great if you're hoping for a passionate encounter with you-know-who, because you'll be really hot stuff. However, in non-sexual situations you could become somewhat tempestuous and irritable, especially if you suspect that things aren't going the way you want.
