Seth Rogen gets dream role: 'Simpsons' writer

Seth Rogen has fulfilled a dream, and he's not talking about starring in the box-office hit "Knocked Up" or playing a superhero in the upcoming "The Green Hornet." Rogen co-wrote an episode of "The Simpsons" and lends his voice to a character in the episode that airs 8 p.m. EDT Sunday, kicking off the Fox show's 21st season.

Doing a Simpsons's might have been a big deal 10 or 15 years ago when it was a good show but now "The Simpson's" sadly have become the show you sit through to see "Family Guy".

Now if Rogan had wrote an episode of "Family Guy" he might be going somewhere......

I used to LOVE simpsons with a passion. It was always funny. Then Matt Groening had to do what so many other good shows had done, and put too much political humor in it. People get politics shoved down their throat everyday in the newspapers, magazines, radio, and tv. I turned to Simpsons to get away from that. I watched to see what stupid stuff Homer and Bart would do, not what Matt Groening's opinion on health care is.

Yeah King of the Hill was good....but really after 13 years it was sort of played out....I saw the "thats what she sad" episode a few days ago and laughed myself silly.

The simpsons have become sort of like Saturday night live....its been on so long it doesnt have to be good anymore...it'll be renewed as long as the producers want to do it.

matt and brooks and the gang at The Simpsons probably should have had the good sense that king of the hill did and pulled the plug a few years ago....now the longer they stay on the more they just ruin their reputation.
