Please, Curious, stick to the topic of the article. Anyway, what seemed weird on Oprah's show was that Marina Souza's Capitola business was listed as located in Monterey Bay, CA. I realize that Monterey Bay is a real place, but when did a large body of water become a city? Is Capitola so insignificant that Marina was afraid to say that's where her business is located? Very strange. Capitola definitely lost out on publicity from this event.

When I travel, I find that people elsewhere have never heard of our smaller towns such as Capitola, Scotts Valley, even sometimes Santa Cruz despite its reputation as a destination for gypsies/tramps and thieves. They hear "California" and assume we're all in LA. How many times have I heard about how convenient we are to Disneyland! I would guess Ms. Sousa meant to orient Oprah and the Chicago folks geographically.

Curious wrote: Does Oprah give 65% of her capitalist earnings to support Obama's Socialist agenda for redistribution of her wealth? She supported Obama, had him on her show at the begining of his campaign and then she refused to allow the Republican party candidate on her show! How fair and balanced is that? Oh contraire...she is having Palin as a guest sometime in the near future which will be about a year after the election so how dare you question Oprah's fairness. BTW she can't give away 65% of her earnings to Obama since she needs that money to pay for her Global Express jet in order to attend global warming rallies with Al Gore what with the cost of aviation fuel being so high and all. Stop being narrow minded...you must be a middle class White suburbanite who thinks their opinion on this country's future actually matters

It's just an observation. What's a "biatch?" Did you mean "biotech?" I guess I have too much time on my hands because I am super-rich and when I take time from making millions, if not billions, I read and comment. At least we super rich capitalistic liberals allow one to express an observation.

As Margaret Thatcher once said, "The problem with redistribution of wealth, Socialism, is that eventually you run out of other peoples money". Liberalism is purely an ignorant nonthinking disorder, possible disease. I’m sure you can get some sort of Federal funding to combat this disease. Santa Cruz would make the top of that list.
