With the varying cost of the converter boxes, is one better or do more than the other??

This is the first article I have seen that really clarifies this situation. Virtually ALL of the articles that you see on television (any station - not just channel 5) say that you will need a converter box if you get your signal from any source other than cable or satellite. They even list "outside antenna or rabbit ears" as sources of signal that will require the converter box. That is simply not true. You CAN receive digital TV over an antenna. I have been doing this for 3 or 4 years. Why are the TV stations deliberately misleading everyone about this subject?
