I fell in love with George Carlin's comedy in 1973 while listening to "Class Clown." And I love him to this day. His comedic "voice" was like no other comedian then or now. He was honest, brilliant, hilarious and totally irreverent. Everything a great comedian strives for. Let's all say the "7 words you cannot say on television" in his honor. George would have liked that.

He was bitter, sarcastic and demented .

Funny he was not. He was a broken record.

His act was one long whine.

might as well pick this up where we left off yesterday.

he was about as funny as my drug burned-out, delusional, conspiracy theorist, angst ridden relative we have to endure at every family function.

He was funny as a rubber crutch, funny as a pay toilet in a Diarrhea Ward, funny as a.....

He was a caustic character that took about 10 seconds to figure out. He was a drag.

Listening to him reminded me of hearing interviews with Charles Manson; sans the murder (as far as we know).

More people should be like George Carlin. He spoke his mind, said it like it was, and didn't care if he was politically correct or not.

Rest in Peace, George. We who thought your humor was great will miss you.

So what you're really trying to say is....he offended you in some way during his routine? Get a life. It's comedy.

he was always contradicting himself ! one minute he would put down what was written in the bible and the next minute he was quoteing the bible and then expecting everyone to applude him for it. his only decent contrabution to society was when he narrarated the 'tomus the tank engine' series. every 3 and 4 year old boy loved that and as a parent who still cant spell, i did too. RIP-george, may god forgive you.
