My deepest sympathy to his family. I met him 30 years ago, my mother was working for him and for his family. He was always singing and cooking, he was a great person, we have good memories from those old days, he made us feel very comfortable when he was around, also his wife was great. My prayers and my thoughts are with this wonderful family.

Two errors in that story: The movie identified as "Silent Film" was actually called "Mel Brooks' Silent Movie", and "Smokey & The Bandit II" was not a sequel to "Cannonball Run"---it was a sequel to "Smokey & The Bandit." Duh!

I used to like him until I saw him in a diner on Ventura Blvd. with his teen-age Asian houseboy, 2 of the most flamboyant gay men you ever saw. Disgusting. I know he has kids, but he was as queer as a 3 dollar bill....I guess Burt liked a good hummer every now and then.

Daily Horoscope for January 4

Leo

Even though you usually pride yourself on being the strong silent type, love has a way of unlocking your tongue. The words coming out of your mouth may be familiar, but your sense of timing makes all the difference right now. Keep in mind that you never know how a risky gesture will work out, although you can always hope for the best. When in doubt, take the more cautious path.
