MSNBC Takes Incendiary Hosts From Anchor Seat

MSNBC tried a bold experiment this year by putting two politically incendiary hosts, Keith Olbermann and Chris Matthews, in the anchor chair to lead the cable news channel’s coverage of the election.

That experiment appears to be over.

After months of accusations of political bias and simmering animosity between MSNBC and its parent network NBC, the channel decided over the weekend that the NBC News correspondent and MSNBC host David Gregory would anchor news coverage of the coming debates and election night. Mr. Olbermann and Mr. Matthews will remain as analysts during the coverage.

Who care, nobody watches CNBC anyway, I doubt these guys mothers even watch. Keith should have stayed in sports, when the average viewer is a neanderthal, not gone into news, where most of the viewers are smarter than he is.

Both Matthews and Olbermann are a breath of fresh air to television and I'm sorry that the powers that be over at NBC didn't have the balls to keep them on as anchors. Thank god they still have their shows--although in this lynching climate, I wonder for how long.

Olbermann is a shill for extreme left-wing liberals and a disgrace to the notion of objectivity. It would be different if he'd admit that he's biased for liberals, but he actually thinks he's not. He espouses a leftist viewpoint and shills for Obama, but won't admit it. He's a smear-merchant and won't listen to anyone who is not a fellow communist. F**k Olbermann. Matthews is a leftist although a little more fair to the other side than Olbermann. MSNBC and NBC in general is plainly pushing for the liberals. Nothing fair or objective about what they do.

Let's talk about FOX News Network, the most unfair and unbalanced network with the most unbalanced and unfair anchors in the nation. Shame shame shame on NBC!

How about sticking to the issue at MSNBC?
Deflecting the problems they are having by talking about another network doesn't do anything about the problems at MSNBC. But you won't see it that way.

America

I saw the best minds of my generation destroyed by greed
smugly walking the glassy steeled streets of Manhattan
in Prada and Gucci
Moloch adonoi! Wall Street we adore you
the second, third, fourth home sits empty
while homeless thousands in their cardboard boxes are pushed
away into the shadows, into the forgotten realms
there is no balm of Gilead, the broken heart stays broken.
I saw the best minds of my generation wantonly feeding themselves senseless,
a meal at a time, spending hundreds, thousands on wine and confit
while the rest of the world with hunger on its back and in its belly
kept its nose pressed to the restaurant glass, drooling
and righteous anger was evicted by ruthless landlords
before it could strike,
passed by all too quickly as the yuppie jogger in Patagonia shorts
happily circled the park, credit card maxed out.
I saw the best minds of my generation acquire amnesia
vomiting cash all over themselves, drinking drinks with silly names,
desperately trying to be seen at the latest club, young studs
twiggy beauties, shiny cars, accouterments all
while the middle class broke its back trying to walk down the staircase
like princes and princesses, keeping up with the Joneses...
just who are the Jones’, because they lied to us,
lied to us and I am so tired.
Dreaming of America
I’m with you on the bus, gone to protest in an empty capital
Congress long gone to a tea party paid for by lobbyists
the great house deserted while our young boys and girls
die in forgotten lands with sand in their mouths,
grabbing at their hearts, last breath fading into the blue sky of war
die in dying cities, rotting towns in this country
meth-headed high horsies rockin all the way to oblivion.
Ah America
I’m with you in spirit, in my dreams
as I walk through the corridors of power
howling anyone home and the earnest men and women
come to help me not knowing their days are over.
Jobs gone, opportunity gone, civil war whisperings,
the ties that bind us have been sold off to the highest bidder
the baby drowned in the bath water, nobody home.
Crying all the way to Wichita, I’m lost in the Western night
unhinged by the struggle, waiting in vain
black birds circling overhead.

There so many partisan Republicans on the air, very partisan. I very much like Olbermann's style and courage. I watch Countdown when I want to hear what is really going on which is quite often.

Of course, I would be too afraid to criticize as he does sometimes. But he has the facts. He's got courage, albeit he's no Hannity or Billo.

I think Wolf Blizter a joke... All he does is take the middle ground.. so let me see ...if a compulsive liar is debating, an occasional liar, then middle is always going to be slanted toward the compulsive liar. NOT FAIR. and pretty stupid.

So when is it wrong in the USA, to point the finger at the unscrupulous politician and call them that? Perhaps, I think he goes overboard on occasion though. Not so much name calling please!

who else will do it?

Gallup poll - last weekend had the presidential race with McCain ahead by three points. MSNBC poll had Obama ahead by three points.
WHY?
It's who you ask and how you ask the question.
Oberman and Matthews are sypmtomatic of the political agenda at MSNBC. People are tired of the biased - slanted "reporting" on the network and it showed in the ratings.
It's all about the Benjamins....
