'Supernatural' Star Dreads 'Friday the 13th' - Jared Padalecki ...

Cool. I like the movies he does, so hopefully that will add to the movie. I hope the camp looks good in this new version.

I really can't wait for this new Friday the 13th to come out next year.

For those of you who haven't seen Jared Padalecki on Supernatural he is a natural acting talent. Since he's already on something dark he should succeed with this.

None of these now classic horror epics need to be remade. If any of these hollyweird dopes (and their brain dead junkies)had half an ounce of brains they would realize what made Jason, Freddy, and even Michael special was the low budgets that they used and made truly horrifying movies without the stupid CGI. The remake of Halloween was an insult to those who saw the originals and to the legacy of both John Carpenter and Mr Akkad. Then again they were also put out in eras when movies had much better staying power and new movies didn't have to be shoveled down our throats on a weekly basis. Even Sundance has been tainted by the offspring of past directors. Hollywood's creativity is almost flatlined.

Didn't Jason appear in an episode of Supernatural?

I saw a lot of publicity about it a few months ago.

So, really, it's a remake of Friday the 13th: Part 2 (Part 3 if you want to be pedantic, as Jason didn't get the mask until 3).

Supernatural wanted Jason on for a dream episode, but some legal wrangling over the rights started, then the strike stopped everything, and ultimately it never happened.

Most of the horror remakes have been bad, the new Amityville with Ryan Reynolds was the one exception in my opinion...I thought that one was better than the original. Just MHO.

But, Jared is a terrific actor, so I'm holding out hope that his presence will make a difference.

I have met Jared Padalecki and he is a very nice man. I love him in Super Natural as Sam Winchester and I can't wait to see Friday the 13th. He is very sweet and I got to take my picture with him. I also got his autograph. I'd love to see him do a movie with Dolly Parton. That would be cool.

So whats the deal with NEVER BACK DOWN was Jared Padalecki in the movie or what? His name wasn't in the credits and I didn't see him in the movie either! But I read he was suppose to be in that movie. He took Sandra McCoy to the premiere on the red carpet in Hollywood. Was his part cut or something? From the finale film. Jared is a really good actor. Jensen's great too. I don't know which one I like better actually. Jensen's adorable but I really started leaning towards Jared when he played the devil.
He did such a good job, he really looked like a different person. I was very impressed.

Yeah Jared is good.
I saw this movie like 10 times I think. My friend loved it to death and kept playing it almost every nite for like a month.

He could get typecasted doin so much horror. I think he's talented enough to branch out to something else, more challanging roles. Supernatural was brilliant! I guess they could make that into a film.
