CBS should go ahead and cancel The Ex List before it destroys friday night.

cbs should really think about how the ex-list wins the 18-49 demo...this is really remarkable considering that a lot of that demo does not watch tv in a conventional manner (sit down at the assigned time and watch). we watch when we want...dvr, on line etc. i love this show...can't wait to see the one where she re-dates a mama's boy.

The Ex List is a complete disaster for CBS. They need to find a replacement fast.
Sad that the networks are slowly abandoning Fridays the way they swept Saturdays under the rug.
Friday used to be a premiere night for TV.
The main reason network TV is becoming obsolescent is because the networks are deprogramming their air. No more miniseries, no more TV movies, no more of anything on Saturdays, practically nothing on Friday. Bad reality shows galore, and over-expensive shows from "hot" producers who don't deliver.
What do all those have in common? The internet and the advent of cable has nothing to do with it. The wounds are self-inflicted.

Slicing and dicing the audience for "demos" is not only ageist (and Lord knows the networks and Madison Avenue don't need any encouragement), but it's also misleading.
Contrary to the way it plays in the press (and fortunately not on this site :)) they don't give away free viewers if they're older.
The "demo" race was invented by Fox when it started and was espoused by the other networks thereafter for a simple reason: if you have a winner in audience, a winner in 18-49, a winner in 25-54, a winner in 18-35 etc... pretty soon any show can be made to look like a winner.
But the overall audience numbers don't lie. The Ex List is doing horribly, no matter how you slice it.

All CBS shows on Fridays have lower viewers then last year. The Ex List is the worst of the three however but it still won. My best guess is that CBS will give it another week or two and then cancel it.

CBS has to be kidding--who on earth did they think bad chick-flick crap like THE EX-LIST was going to appeal to? Watching a single woman searching for her soulmate is bad enough, but watching her re-date all her ex-boyfriends...sheesh. What single woman would find that funny or appealing? What married woman would care?

There's nothing wrong with "The Ex-List", but tell me, CBS -- do you really think that people who watch your network on Friday nights are into a show like that? Does it really fit in well with "Ghost Whisperer" and "Numb3rs"? If it was on a different night, I'm certain it'd be doing better numbers, and also not pulling down the totals for "Numb3rs" in the process after people change the channel and forget to turn it back. Usually a night works well when similar programs are around it -- and Friday nights are by far the most likely scenario for this. Re-runs of "Criminal Minds" would work better in the pre-"Numb3rs" spot than "Ex-List".

I am thrilled 'The Ex-List" is not getting good raings. I could have told Nina that. "Moonlight" got better ratings and was such a good written, acted storylines. It is too bad she wanted it off and "the Ex-List" on. I can't wait for my CD and hope it sales top everything.

Where's the ratings for MyNetwork? Would like to see how SmackDown! is holding up!

Its doing pretty good on MyNetwork and the show received the networks highest rating but The CW lost a good show and now the combination of Everybody Hates Chris, The Game, and America's Next Top Model repeat is doing terribly. Atleast Smackdown is still alive.

NBC should move Life to the 9:00 slot. Then I could watch Ghost Whisperer, Life, and Numb3rs!(I have no station loyalty!)

Look at Ghost Whisperer reigning friday nights for three years now. Atleast it's been consistant, I really wish CBS would move the show to a more dominant night, although it scares me too.

The Ex-list is performing very much like "Close to Home" and "Moonlight" did in previous seasons. It wins the timeslot, but barely and with a major dip between "Ghost Whisperer" and "Numbthreers." I don't think it's a case of people tuning out then back in--I strongly doubt "Ghost Whisperer" and "Numbthreers" share very many viewers--they're very different shows.

Close To Home and Moonlight had much higher ratings than The Ex List. Close To Home was a success until they killed off Annabeth's husband. And Moonlight had great numbers for a freshman drama that debuted during a strike interrupted season. CBS should have given Moonlight a second season. It's obvious CBS just doesn't care what viewers think. Moonlight was last year's People's Choice winner for Favorite New Drama, yet they canceled it anyway. Except for How I Met Your Mother, I am boycotting CBS altogether. And CBS used to be my main network of choice!

Of course it wins its timeslot, no matter what The Ex List gets for friday it will win because no one watches anything else in that timeslot. So while numbers for The Ex List are 6 million no other network has anything else performing higher.

How come WWE Smackdown isn't included now in the Friday night ratings since it moved to My Network? I'm sure it's getting better ratings than what the CW is showing.

I miss Moonlight!! The Ex List, please, what was this girl in the past, a ho??? No wonder she is 33 and unmarried. It is a silly show. Not only did the writers go on strike, they went brain dead as well. I miss moonlight and I want it back. I will say that Eleventh Hour is pretty good. Numbers is even getting stupid and that is because of the scripts. Why not put the two cute agents in a relationship, not with each other, the white and the black guy. You use them in the show but not so much that I don't even know their names. I think one is Coby and one is David, but I don't know which is which. Let them bring more to the table. You guys just need to fire all those writers who went on strike and get some new ones.
