I love him on Jerry Springer Show, I loved him on Dancing With The Stars and I love him on America's Got Talent.

I have watched the show for 11 years, feel like I grew up with it. They are always changing and reinventing the show, that is what makes it so good. Sounds like good changes and I am on board. Jerry Jerry Jerry

Interesting article. I went to a live taping once and it is a hoot. Jerry was so nice shaking hands with everyone. Congratulations to the team, and Rachelle and Jerry. I really like the new Steve Wilkos show too.

How dare you use the "H" word. This is as offensive to white southerners as the "N" word.

He should go back to his early 90's format, when the show was real but exciting. You never knew what was going happen, now it's too predictable, especially with the sound effects. It reminds me of the WWE, that's why I haven't watched the show in over a decade.

Is that crappy show still on? Do Chicago and humanity a favor Jerry and hang it up.

Of course he's benefitting or he wouldn't be doing it. Do you work for the pleasure of it or for the financial benefit?

As far as trashy people watching it, you must include yourself in that group if you have watched the show to make an informed opinion. The audience is usually filled with yuppies enjoying the outrageous show. It was a little over the top recently and I didn't watch as much. The extra characters are really unnecessary. We watch for the show itself.

Other than WWE Programming & The Shield on FX, there is nothing worth watching on TV Other than The Jerry Springer Show!

Let's see, the Plain-clan, Sarah - knocked-up as a teenager while unwed, went to six schools in as many years and wound up getting her bachelors from a po-dunk school in po-dunk Idaho.'Worked' as a sports' caster in a po-dunk Alaskan-village - on and off {mostly off} while she had four kids. She served as a mayor in that po-dunk Alaska-village for a little while and then - this former po-dunk 'beauty-queen', ceased the opportunity to bite the hand that fed her to take over the Governor's position in the state {only just} that has more reindeer than people. Having made the decision to bring a Downs' child into the world {her fifth kid}, she then decided that her commitement to 'family values'- what with a special needs infant at home and a 7 year old as well, translated into her fundamental{ist} ability to become Vice President and - possibly, President/Commander and Chief of the United States. All the while, her unwed daughter of 17 years of age is now already 5 months pregnant and her teenage son is off to join the battle in Afghanistan. Yep, if EVER there was a family that's suited to appear on the Jerry Springer Show it's the Palins. White American Trash from po-dunk nowheresville.
Now, this is a potential first-family for American we can all get behind --- Give me a break!!!

Springer's show can be hillarious! No I don't live in a trailer (across from Belmont Harbor, actually), Springer cheerfully admits the show is trash. I respect him for that. Povich, on the other hand feigns respectability - HE makes me sick, not Springer.

This show hasn't been funny for years. The shock value is long gone.

Methinks someone has begun to consider what his legacy will be.

I sort of agree with that. On Maury, "You Are [Not] the Father" is somewhat of a sport, especially the first couple of rounds, until those at the end of the show all are the father. Then it gets boring. The main distinction seems to be racial between the trash on Jerry and Maury.

But:
1. It is hard to conceive what entertainment value the Channel 50 show has without the white trash.

2. Are they cannibalizing the audience by having Steve on Channel 9 the same time Jerry is on Channel 50?
