This Michael Mann movie starring the great Tom Noonan ("Heat" - 1995) and the great William Petersen ("CSI" - 2000 - ongoing) is a crime noir about a age-worn homicide detective recruited to solve a murder mystery which he decides he can with the counseling of a diabolical imprisoned cannibal.
"Manhunter" (1986) encourages contemplation of the way stories about crime characterize self-improvement.
