Well that just makes me mad. Jericho was the best show CBS had in it's lineup. It was the ONLY show I watched. It just goes to show that we have become so dumbed down that Reality TV is the only thing that draws an audience.

That really pisses me off too. I cant help but wonder if because of the subject matter, i.e. revolution, revolt, nuclear war etc. the government feels that it should not be aired in such troubled times. But then the logical side of me says well maybe that's just the paranoid side of me talking. I believe the story should go on, maybe only on DVD or their could be a movie or something like that. This will be the second year that CBS has started something and not finished it. I agree the best show on CBS is JERICHO. So if their gonna pull the plug on it then I will pull the plug on CBS.

Broadcast networks are choking, still relying on old metrics and older ideas. They should be weathering the changing habits of viewership by making decisions around superior aesthetic, the avenues for revenue generation will happen in the future. I'll truly miss this thoughtful program and I'll think much less of CBS too. Long live the memory of Jericho.

HOW MANY MORE REASONS ARE THE NETWORK CHANNELS GOING TO GIVE PEOPLE TO WATCH CABLE. THEY INSULT OUR INTELLIGENCE WITH SHOWS THAT ATTACK AND MAKE FUN OF "OUTING THEIR DIRTY LAUNDRY IN PUBLIC" AND MAKING A JOKE OF THE PAIN AND SORROW THEY CREATE. "JERICO" WAS NOT ABOUT WHO WAS JUMPING INTO WHOSE BED, IT DID NOT BELITTLE WHAT IT MEANS TO BE LOYAL TO GOD AND COUNTRY. IT WAS EDGE OF YOUR SEAT, CAN'T WAIT TIL TUES NIGHT,& HOW ARE THEY GONING TO OVERCOME THE BAD GUYS THIS TIME PROGRAM. LOW RATINGS ARE MOSTLY IN PART OF NOT KNOWING WHEN IT WAS GOING TO BE ON AND IF YOU WERE LUCKY ENOUGH TO FIND IT THE THEY DID SOMETHING ELSE TO DISCOURAGE THE VIEWER. I'M HOPING A CABLE STATION WILL BE SMART ENOUGH TO PICK IT UP AND THEN I WON'T HAVE TO WATCH NETWORK TV AT ALL.

They are cancelling it because it is TOO MUCH LIKE THE TRUTH, ABOUT THE FBI BEING INVOLVED IN 9-11!

When I was a kid in Illinois, I tried to have 2 adults arrested for trying to hire a bomb maker. The FBI agent that showed up did NOT ARREST ANYONE, EVEN THOUGH the 2 adults mistook the FBI for a bomb maker ("how did you hear that we were trying to hire a bomb maker?", "How much will you charge?", etc).

Instead the FBI agent took that crime scenario for HIS FUTURE GOVERNMENT USE!!

There was all of that racism talk about a place named Jena. Several years before that happened, a bunch of us on a mass transit train were talking about the fact that we HEARD A FED PLANNING THIS THE NIGHT BEFORE!!! SEVERAL OF THE TRAIN CAR OF PEOPLE HEARD THIS, and WE KNOW THAT THE GOVERNMENT PLANS THIS GARBAGE IN ADVANCE!!!

The news media is PART OF THIS AND THEY COVER-UP THE TRUTH!!!

Got hooked on the show too. Not a big TV fan to begin with, but this was interesting. As someone said, it was about values and sticking together, not sex, drugs and mindless violence like all the other c*rap on TV.

There were a few quirks, like how they seemed to get back to functioning so quickly and never run out of liquor, but its TV. Doubt if that would really happen after that kind of attack. Hope to never find out. Hawkins character reminded me of Jack from 24, but with a little less action and more concern for family and friends. Gerald McRaney did awesome job as the father and town leader. Also his son Jake played his part well. Actually all the cast contributed to the show.

Hope that one of the cable channels will pick it up and keep it going. If not, at least CBS should give it a good ending, not leave everyone hanging with a stupid one like the Sopranos did.

Can't stand those reality shows. Getting tired of home makeovers too. Can't anyone in Hollywood come up with something entertaining?

A show that has thoughtful and a close satire (?) to today's political landscape is being cancelled for the dumbed down reality shows that people want to watch.

It seems society is losing its ability of critical thinking and wanting to watch "mindless" shows.

TV producers should produce shows that have intelligence, meaningful insight, etc. It's okay to have several shows to escaps reality, but the number of the senseless shows never seems to end.

The track record shows that series that are good with eventful or topics touching what is going on today or recently seems to get canned much quicker nowadays.

I will miss Jericho and how from my perspective has a lot of parallels to the Bush administration and the political cronies, corporate kickbacks, etc.

The problem with television is everything is getting dumbed down and sexed up. I think they need to fill their focus groups with regular people and not just LA or NY groups.

I watch very little TV now because few shows interest me. Jericho was different. It was good TV. What ever happened to shows like this that make you think? Will Networks or cable learn before I spend no time or money on this type of media?

I agree with you.

I have to wonder where all these "people" that the media have for there focus group, their intelligence, do they work, etc.

Lately, I have been watching less and less TV, checking out foreign movies from the library along with reserving movies that were nominated for the Emmy's.

The studios are only sabotaging themselves by cancelling meaningful shows.

This isn't the first time networks have cancelled shows that were really interesting and captivating. All these reality shows are crap, not to mention the quiz show that you have to tell the whole truth to win money. They should cancel that one tomorrow, for all I care! Jericho was an excellent, well-written drama with a fine cast of characters. I hope Sci-Fi does pick it up. I think the story has more to tell and good writers can do alot with Jericho. One can only hope!

I never heard about Jericho until the second season. I don't watch too much TV because there is far too many reality TV shows, or spin offs of popular shows. How many CSI's or Law and orders do we need.
Jericho was an excellent show. I went back and watched all the episodes on CBS.com . The show was well made and the characters were believable. It provided controversy and excellent plot development. It was doomed because it was not mindless, and had no sex. The TV exec's think we are stupid, as does most of Hollywood. They think we can not follow a complex plot, and won't watch if there is no sex or major violence. If they had given this show a chance the ratings would have exploded.
They don't want to give decent shows a chance. They would rather not take a chance.
The best advice is turn off your TV's, who cares is someone can win $1million by picking a case(no talent involved), or lie about friendships to outlast on an island.
If we keep watching their crap, they will think that is what we want, and they will keep making it.

I will miss Jericho too. But it is not just the corrupt Bush administration, It also reminds me or the corrupt Clinton regime, kickbacks, murders and cover ups. The higher anyone gets in politics the more they are corrupt, their ideals are sold. This dates back through all our presidents democrat or republican.
