Hugh Laurie as House is such a brilliant piece of casting that it is unimaginable that anyone else could ever play the tortured twisted doctor. Get him back at any cost.

Calm down. The guy needs a few days off for family reasons. That's all we need to know. He is entitled to a life without all of us second guessing his "hidden motives." Grow up!

I doubt he's unhappy with the show. I could, though, see that maybe he's disappointed with the creative turn this season. I personally have no longer made House a must-see Tuesday event anymore. It's one thing if the new team was competing while Epps, Morrison and Spencer were still in nearly every other scene like before but seeing them next-to-never in most episodes this year isn't enjoyable. House is still as funny as ever, but not something I care to juggle my schedule for anymore. In my opinion, Boston Legal is the only returning show this season to have a large cast shakeup make this season better than last season.

I totally disagree , I think this season has been fantastic..the old cast will be in more and more and this season has taken away the chance of any kind of staleness creeping into the show. A lot of these new characters are pretty damn enjoyable too.

I think this season has beeen refreshing compared to last season. His new team seems surprised and confused by everything House does. His old team, although didn't always know where he was coming from, was no longer surprised by anything House did.
I think a lot of humor was lost when Dr. House was no longer such a mystery to his team.

He should of won an oscar for his show...I saw him kind of unhappy that day....he should of won, instead they chose Boston Legal, who watches that show..........I love House, I hope they don't throw in the towel....of course I hope all is well with his private life as well.....

I was a huge House fan until this season. I really wish they'd change the storyline and put Chase, Cameron, and Foreman back in place. While Hugh Laurie is fantastic in the role, he needs his old buddies to play off of. It isn't working at present the way it always had before. The original actors have been reduced to no more than cameo roles, and that I don't care for.

This may sound bad, but I really hope he's filing for divorce. Jo doesn't deserve the amazing man she has. He's depressed for a long time now, and it's her obligation to be with her husband.
On the other side, I hope that is nothing wronge with his childern.

And it's not just that he's homesick, he wouldn't leave the country in such a hurry. Something happened. Something bad happened.

I sure hope there aren't any problems brewing on set, I would hate to see such a great show go under because of some kind of dispute.

House is just as good this season. The new characters are just as entertaining and really give House some good fodder for his one liners. I for one will miss the new team once the old team comes back. I really like the old guy who didnt go to med school. Too bad he got kicked off.

it was fabulous, when it seemed real, and house was just a brilliant, wacky. dr. the interactions with his 'students' was great, and being a nurse i found it very intesting..and cracked up laughing all the time..my favourite show../
Now it's in the toilet..it has gone to the ridiculous, viewers will decrease radically, it's a waste of time..it has now become a comedy, and nothing seems like a real hospital, or a real hospital administrator,etc..they carried it way too far.
maybe he went home for family whatever, but looking like an idiot on tv, with people writing the plot lines, must be embarassing and demeaning,..they could have made it even better, but whoever the darn script writer is had too much imagination, and didn't "get it", it seems to me it's some new guy that took over, and totally formatted it in a new, disasterous outcome!!

I don't like the blonde girl. If he gets a new team I hope she isn't there. I hope he just gets the old team back but if I was Chase I would tell him NO THANKS!!

Been loya from the first episode - love the show BUT this season is sure lagging in getting the team back together - which Hugh stated on a recent Leno program was going to happen. I just hope there's some plausibility to the justification for the old team returning. So far, Epps is back on board but it's a bit disturbing that the "only" reason for his return is a seeming blacklisting among hospital HR people for a Houselike discretion Is Frankenstien's monster heading home for a fix?

I've followed Hugh from his comedic days of on the British series the Black Adder and the Jeeves and Wooster Series all the way to House. He is very talented and I hope the Show continues for years to come.
