Heroes Adds Lesbian Love

Good for Heroes. I love the show, and having a lesbian character on it will just make it all the more able to be somewhat closer to real demographics. Yes, it may be for the titillation aspect, but positive portrayals of LGBT characters always has a more fundamental and positive influence on society as a whole.

Whoever wrote this article needs to pick an acronym and stick with it.

Heroes had a gay character in the first season but got rid of his gayness when the fundies threw a fit. How is this news item suppose to make us feel good when it's not only a reminder NBC swept us under the rug the first chance they get but is insulting to think the only reason they're doing it now so they can get some girl-on-girl action for their ratings? In other words, bullshite.

Huh? He had already played a gay character on national television a few year before so, um, no.

which is why I asked it as a question... but seriously, there is something to it. His parents got involved or something. It wasn't just the right wingers. I read somewhere that someone in his camp did not like the fact that he was allegedly gay... I want to say his mother or something, but it was so long ago.

No, his AGENT had a problem with it, and they wound up cutting a few lines of dialogue that all but confirmed the character, "Zach", was really gay. The reason she pitched a fit? Because of the role he eventually won: John Conner on the TV Terminator series.

If they wanted to make a Heroes regular come out, many would have bet on the younger Petrelli brother, Peter, or even serial killer Sylar (never going to happen because of that little indie flick where he wore those pointed ears or something, even tho rumors are he actually is!)

The slash fics have paired up just about everyone, especially Peter, Sylar, Mohinder. The latter has had a number of slash focusing on his cohabitant in s2, Matt, when they pulled the "My Two Dads" bit with young Hero, Molly. Personally, I'd love it if they wrote a scene for the upcoming season where Mohinder comes out to Matt while he's complaining how things still aren't working out with ex-wife Janice. Straight Bear Matt is dumbfounded, but turns his friend down. Simple as that.(And if Matt really is back on the LAPD, how about a crossover with that hunky Southland officer, John Cooper (Michael Cudlitz)? He misreads Matt's story of failed relationships and....)

Why not allow those who seek healing to get healing? Did you actually read the link provided on how a Christian views the data? You view the John Paul II Institute for Studies on Marriage and Family as a "hate group"? How do you justify any claim to "equality" when you force others to accept your unproven claims? Slow down, breathe deeply, think.

No one feels the happiness. There is no celebration when a son tells his family he is gay, only sadness. You have no truth, only a desperate lie. There is no issue of pride or homophobia (at least as the gay community defines it). The Church has the truth and we accept homosexuals into the love that is Jesus Christ. What more do you need?
