I think the guy who payed "Joe" on Friends or Matthew Perry would be good for that part. Or Ashton Kutchner. I don't know about John Stamos.

John is scared Charlie would fire back at him for taking the role.

Just use Herb as the replacment.

Alan (dad) Jake (son) Herb ( step dad)

Herb takes on a wild side and get's rid of Judith.
