Disney Junior Channel Launch Time Availability, Not on Directv

My son has been waiting for over a month for this channel. This is not a happy household right now.

That is so stupid....they should offer it because when I saw the commercial I was thinking OMG my son can also watch the shows I used to watch when I was little like Rollie Pollie Olie etc but Direct tv decides to be stupid over something that is more educational then some of the channels on their satellite

Wow, that's for the offer of "still being able to watch the 4 hour block" in the mornings on Disney Channel Directv. How insulting!

I intend to give Directv a week to wise up and make the right choice to include the new Disney Junior channel before I begin my search for new programming providers.

The Disney Channels as a whole are educational to young children but some executive has decided that there's no reason to carry a new educational channel. Probably needs to save room for another channel to show Jersey Shore.

my grandson was so looking forward to watching the Disney Junior Channel. He's going to be so dissapointed when he finds out it's not available. There are so many unappropriate shows for young children to watch on tv these days as it is. I thought this would be a refreshing change!

I couldn't believe when I searched for the new channel today, that has been advertised for SO long on your network, that my children have been SO looking forward to, that it was nowhere to be found. Then I get on here to find out that DirectTV has no intention of carrying the Disney Junior channel. My family is terribly disappointed right now. You carry a whole host of channels that are either completely inappropriate for children or that are downright a waste of space. I mean, who really needs 14 different "buy this crap" advertisement channels? I am so disgusted right now as a parent, that a group of executives sat around a table and determined that the Disney Jr. channel wasn't as valuable as the Soap Network or QVC. Give me a break.

Just like all of you I find it ridiculous! Especially if they continue to show the channel on commercials! I thought for sure we would get it since directv is a major provider. My little girl is so sad!

I am so disappointed too! With limited options for young children, especially in the evening, our house was looking forward to this. If directv doesn't fix the issue soon, I will be looking for another provider

Like many of you, we were very upset to find out Directv is not carrying the new Disney Junior Channel! I have a two year old son and looked forward to having age appropriate programming for him all day. Especially since Directv offers about 5 different Nick channels. I hope they taje some of these comments to heart and change their minds soon or they may lose valuable customers.

i called directv and they told me that they are replacing soapnet with the disney junior channel. they said they are going to have it but do not know how long before they will have it.

I dont know about where you live but dish isnt carrying it either in my zipcode. you go to to disney juniors channel and look it up and see if it is available where you live.

I must say I agree with every post thus far. When I heard they were turning Disney Junior into a Channel its own, my 5 yr old was thrilled.

I don't see what the problem is, remove a home shopping channel, b/c to tell the truth no one buys that crap any way. I mean why would they when they can get the same thing on Amazon or Ebay for a lot cheaper.

Another thing, direct tv carries Nick Jr. So why not Disney Jr. They carry PBS Kids sprout, why not Disney Jr.

I'm almost tempted to switch to Comcast. For all Direct tv subscribers, Comcast and Charter digital cable will be carrying the channel as soon as it airs. You can go to Disney Jr. and they'll give you a list of television providers in your area that do carry the channel.

Bummed!!!!! My kids were so looking forward to this. Will calling and complaining make difference???? Come on everyone let's bombard directv call centers and demand they add this channel!!!

We should file a class action against directv for false advertisement. We all for the pass 6 months or more have watched the commercials for Disney junior with no mention from directv that they had no intention to carry it. Sounds like false advertisement to me.

I'm 42 years old and am disappointed in this and so is my 5 year old...I will be looking into Comcast!!!

I am very disappointed in Direct TV for this. Hopefully more people will be complaining to change their mind. I just cannot understand their reasoning for this.....why the commercials? This is bad for my 3 grandchildren and families all over the country - please reconsider Direct TV!!
