milch needs to get his head out of his f@cking ass. I loved this series and dedicated hours to watching every single episode only too watch it end without an action packed climax. I for one will be f@cking p!ssed if they don't follow up with these movies!

I agree. All one has to do is look at the history of Deadwood, SD. to see how life played out but, a movie still would be nice. Use different actors if you have to to play the parts but DO SOMETHING !

IMHO Deadwood was amazing. Simply the best drama series I've ever seen. I was heartbroken when HBO canceled the show. I would contribute $$ if it would help bring it back....

What an absolute shame! Probably one of THE MOST interesting and riveting shows I have ever seen goes without an end? WTF???!!!!

I just finished the complete series...and am left not wanting...but needing to some resolution. Make the movies!

Deadwood was one of the best shows I've ever watched.
HBO was fucking insane to cancel it. The way it ended was absolutely tragic. I would contribute money too just to get it back on the air. I promptly canceled my HBO subscription after they pulled it. David Milch needs to get his shit going and make this happen!!! |

i agree this show was riveting. the characters of sweargen and bullock were two of the best i have ever seen. i hate westerns but i absolutely loved deadwood. one more season or bring on a movie !!

I loved the show as well and would gladly contribute some money to see it brought back. Its a show that delivered you to another time and place and made you thirsty for history. I hope, hope, hope that something will come together to continue Deadwoods legacy.

I agree that it is among the greatest series ever. I've watched it 3 time. never did that w/ anything! I understand it was not HBO but Milch that dropped the ball. He's so off the chart brilliant but is equally flaky and unstable.

This show is without equal - I annually watch all three series back to back - screw the movie - resurect the series
Perhaps if Hurst had been portrayed a bit more pleasently (accurately) his media controlling descedents would not have canned the series |

I read an article/interview with Milch about Deadwood. Each episode cost something like $4 mil to shoot and produce. I remember Milch saying if it was up to him, he would have continued in a heartbeat, but it was HBO who didn't want to continue since it was ridiculous expensive to carry. I guess they aren't making enough $$ by charging close to $100 per season of each of their shows on release.

"Perhaps if Hurst had been portrayed a bit more pleasently (accurately) his media controlling descedents would not have canned the series"
LOL... thats funnier than anything Larry David ever came up with.(for HBO) |

I watched the final episode of Season 3 this morning and I'm extremely disappointed there will not be a movie to finish the story. I guess if an HBO series doesn't have the same type of following as The Sopranos with a 10+ year run, they don't care about the fans of their other series.

An 1800s version of the Sopranos, this was by far the best HBO had ever done.
To let it end the way it did and not wrap it up in some sort is a disgrace and all connected should be very ashamed. How very sad. |

My husband and I watched all 3 seasons this summer and enjoyed every minute! We are so disappointed with HBO for cancelling the series without an ending. PLEASE do a shortened season or a movie and bring this wonderful show to a fitting end.

I have just finished watching the complete series and ell,i loved it but then went to video store to get the next installment and found there was no "next installment"are you kidding me!!!!I did some research to find out why and saw alot of grief being thrown at the Writer David Milch and undeservably so,actually as usual its the greedy ass actors and their demands for more money, thats what happens with all the really great shows, and although i will miss the series and always wonder what happened,i applaud HBO for telling the greedy bastards to stick in their ass!!!!
