What, is "House" getting too expensive for the Fox network? Is that why three weeks into the new season they are airing a repeat from last year featuring a cast memeber who is dead? They've got a story line going this year, and break it with a repeat. Dumb. They talked Hugh Laurie into moving to America and now they pull the rug out from under him. Of course the ratings were down. They deserve to be. Shame on Fox.

Wow, quite the overreaction. They had House as a rerun this week because the debate was going to be interrupting the schedule all evening. What's your deal?

Forgive me, but the other networks showed new episodes and the debate didn't begin until 9pm, after "House" ended. Only Fox went to reruns.

The debate aired live all over the entire country, so there were other places in the country that were going to have to House pre-empted for the debate. Instead of dealing with all that, they just decided to make it a rerun this week and have new episodes when they won't have scheduling confusion.
