No funny food comments, just good old-fashioned farm food in the Willapa Valley. Strong Coffee with Jersey cream, home-canned fruit with cream, fried fish with bacon, and eggs every morning. Hard Tack, cookies, cakes, homemade jams, home churned butter always on the large kitchen table for when company came for coffee. Twelve or morecourses of tasty foods for early dinner, always with company for evenings without TV, games and War News on the radio. With a Finnish Dad and one-half Danish mom, just imagine the food celebrations. When I married my honey, I learned new funny food behavior, like putting sugar on cottage cheese, pouring boiled water on shredded wheat that had butter and sugar smeared on it. I liked cream instead, the strangest of all, Karo Syrup on Chicken Dumplings. The comment about warm milk on crackers, reminds me of toast with warm cream on it for bedtime tidbit.
Great Memories, as I will be 70 on November 24th, the Bulletin Board my favorite to be mindful of how lucky I was to grow up on a farm in the beautiful Willapa Valley.

Yam and yelly as I remember it from many years ago went, "it must be yelly caus yam don't shake like that".(I seem to remember that it was also a line from a song.)
I also recall an old saying that went," Times are moving too fast, Just when I learn to say Yam, they change the name to Yelly".

Daily Horoscope for December 26

Aries

In recent weeks you've been quite concerned about a loved one, and things are likely to come to a head as Mercury turns in your mid-heaven. You may be able to solve the problem simply, which will be a relief all round, but there's a chance that you may have to do some serious thinking or get some expert advice before you know exactly what your next step should be. You may have to take official action of some kind.
