'American Idol' Finale: The Davids Enter the Ring - Simon Cowel...

David Cook did'nt let Achuleta win, he just couldn't match up to David A. David A has a suberb voice which no one can deny. He has grown as an artist and also a person on the show. Don't take anything away from him. HE IS THE WINNER OF AMERICAN IDOL SEASON 7.

My hunch is that David Archuleta will win season 7 but in the end both are winners.

David Cook, u're a hero. U're my idol . u're cool voice heal my pain and i vote for you. KEEP UP AND ALL THE BES FOR YOUR NEXT SHOW.

I think David Cook has gotten an attitude or maybe he always had it. He is just a little too self assured and cocky for me.

I`d love to see Cook win..I`m sorry, Archie can sing but those ballads are sooo predictable and verging on boring.Cook has proven his star power while all Archie has done is prove that he can`t do anything but ballads. Should the next American Idol be so one-dimensional?

52 votes!!!!#1 - get a life.#2 How many times did the tweeny boppers get through? This is why it is NOT a talent competiton. When one phone line gets ONE vote AND have people IN the industry weigh in, then its a talent competition. This final was predetermined weeks ago. No big surprise. This was my first and LAST year watching the entire season. I said it before, next year I will watch the auditions because they are hilarious and MAYBE watch the top 8 or so when the mentors show up.

I won't be the fool again next year.

David A. is talented and has a great voice, but he is a one-trick pony. Every song he sings sounds the same, and he is incapable of singing anything but mellow ballads. Dialidol.com predicts David C. to win, and I'm hoping they're right. But either way, Cook will outsell Archuletta in the end. Lil Archie's fan base of grandmothers (who don't buy music) and tweenies (who will change their allegiance before next year's auditions) won't last.

Archuleta has been my favorite all season. I think he's a great singer and I love the ballads. However, up until last night I did not think he should win because he has not consistently performed songs that "fit" well with what you expect to hear on modern radio or CD. In short, I thought he was a great singer, but not a sellable singer. Last night he proved me wrong! All three songs were great, and I think proved that he can be a sellable recording artist if given the right material (could it be that last night was the first time when Daddy didn't choose his songs for him?).

And if you listen closely, last night's version of Imagine was considerably different from the first time he sang it. Some of those differences I liked, some I didn't, but it did impress me that it wasn't a carbon copy.

Talk about being non musical....That "I still haven't found" was a lousy rendition. that was one of his worst...He sang one mid season that was worse but I can't remember which song it was. I like David Cook. David Archuleta will be a one hit wonder. He needs to learn how to breathe when singing. He gasps for air and it sounds horrible. David A can sing but only one way and its not very marketable because he is one dimensional....David cook will have a successful career and put out many Albums....American Idol realizes that and thats why all the judges were pushing so hard for Archuleta. If Archuleta wins, American Idol makes more money. Because Cook is going to sell albums either way.....Archuleta has his first Album and then will be forgotten.

I think Archuleta sounds the same on every song, just different words. I like him though, yes he's a good singer and he seems like a nice kid. BUT, I like Cook so much more because I am actually looking foward to seeing what he will sing and Im never let down. Archuleta always sings boring ballads and stands there with his eyes closed and his right hand open. BORING. I love that Collective Soul song, but I don't think many AI fans out there know it well and I don't think it builds up enough to be a finale song. I loved his performance though, just think he should have picked something that picked up in the end more. I don't think Archuleta's take on Imagine was better than his first, in fact Im sick of the runs he adds to every line. But we all know that his fans are the type of people who will vote over and over. I wonder if he'll win because he gets more votes from the same people. I think they should limit votes to 5 per phone number.

I thought it was going to be David Cook and I was happy with either David. BUT, now I feel David Archuleta is the true American Idol.

I was crying and can not move with Li'l Archie's performance. I will buy every single CD that he will make and God Bless American Idol for having Little David Archuleta.

Cook wins no matter what to me.

i think cook should win...he's a much better performer than archuleta
