For $65 each for the cheap seats, I was disappointed I had to wait more than 2 hours into the concert to see the two Davids - the real stars of the show. I expected more of the front-runners and less of the runners-up.
I also think Syesha is over-rated. She looks and dresses the part, but her vocals don't always deliver. She should stop looking down her nose at Broadway and grab her 15 minutes while people still remember her name.

We had 3 generations at the concert. We all enjoyed it. Yes, It wasn't the flashy pyrotechnic event that you see at other concerts but I thought they all did a good job and David Cook was great. He seemed to really enjoy performing for the crowd. David A I thought (my opinion) looked like he had a pained expression on his face and he had his eyes closed most of the time. The others we all enjoyed. Each one of us had a favorite. We will probably go again next year. It was a fun night out with the family.

Great concert. except for the one half hour intermission when that jerk jockey wasted our time. We could have been out one half hour earlier. In the meantime, I had was able to catch up on some e mails.

This concert really sucked. All of the performers were less than they were on the tv show except for little David. Little David can sing rings around Cook, who is actually just a one dimensional rock singer. The show was worth the money only because it was entertaining. I think that this show is a success only because of the kids between 12-17 who spend their life on the phone anyway, thats who vote Cook in. I think that with the right training Kristy could be a good country singer, she sure looks good too. The people who promote the tv show need to come up with a way that takes into consideration talent not popularity. The sound system also sucked, forget about hear any lyrics. The band was good and loud to hide vocal deficiencies. Maybe next time

I thought that David Cook is very good. I totally agree with the Disney scenerio's for most of the contestant. I am sure that they will find their niche. I thought that the show was entertaining and I ended up voting for David Cook; but, I cannot get involved next season. I will devote my attention to hopefully a decent movie on HBO. Enough of Simon Cowell for me. Enjoy your day.

Carly Smithson has a good voice, if you do not look at her. She appears to be in pain when she sings. That is not a pleasant sight to see. Kristy Cook is a very pretty girl, but average . Brooke White also looks like she is in pain. David A. should open his eyes.....Hullo.........remembe r the audience!?? And Jason Castro.........he should never have been one of the finalists. Those dreadlocks look filthy and ridiculous. Looks like a bad imitation of Bob Marley if he was white! Nice looking kid, but change your hairstyle...it is rude! Michael Johns is very good looking. Perhaps, he should check out acting on a soap. Syesha should look into modeling.......great figure for shure!!! Ramiele should check out Disneyworld. She would fit the part. Just the fact that they made it so far is a great accomplishment.

It appears, from your conclusions, that you did not pay attention to the performers and/or that you did little or no research on the performers. Odd.

the show was a lot of fun. i enjoyed the format because it allowed all the performers to sing the type of songs that show their strengths. true, some were better than others and performance order was not a predictor of this. overall, all the performers were much better live than on the show. perhaps it's the experience they've gotten this year or, most likely, the fact that they're no longer competing and being judged on live national tv. cook, my favorite (disclaimer), lived up to every expectation of the idol champ... and then some! he interacts with the audience, works the stage, and delivers rock-solid vocals.
two complaints on the article: 1- stop the daughtry comparisons... there are none. 2- do a bit of research... billie jean sounds like something that chris cornell might have sung because it IS chris cornell's arrangement. cook credited cornell on the show... and then performed it so spectacularly that it's cook's version that will be remembered.
on tour, cook's own arrangements can be heard on his cover of lionel richie's "hello", the opening song for his set. it's a full version of the one he sang on the show. he also changed up the arrangement on the version of "time of my life" a bit such that you hear on the radio and on the tour differ from reggie hamm's original submission. the other two songs in his set are pretty much straight-up from the originals. this is the problem with doing an idol's live! tour... the performers are stuck singing covers.
