Nicole: I realize that you get y our information from someone else, but this morning you reported an accident just past the 234 & 66 interchange. I live not far from there, but with that knowledge I went a different way. Took me an hour to go 14 miles, when it should have taken 20 minutes--tops. Turns out the accident was before the interchange and I could have been here in no time. I watch channel 9 news every morning and love you all--especially Andrea. She is so classy.

I only watch the traffic report with Ms O'Brien, she does a great job plus
a very beautiful lady..

I enjoy you'r spots every morning, although I don't drive in the area of metro DC, being retired military I have driven all over the world. I live in Martinsburg and travel I-81 and I-70 between Winchester and Fredrick.
I have come to the conclusion that drivers fall into three different categories.
1. 40 percent are to ignorant to understand the consequence's of their actions.
2. 40 percent are to araogant to care of their acitons.
3. 20 percent of us know what going on.(Those of us that get it) I don't drive as my eye site prevents me. But, I do ride this on a regular basis.
I know this is a bold statement, but I think it's very accurate. And this goes beyond just driving.(That's a story for another time)
If folks can figure out what category they fall into, maybe they can change they way they drive.
Just because the speed limit is 70 and it's raining, does that mean you travel at 80.?

Once again, WUSA TV9 cancels people without letting on. I turned on WUSA this morning and no Nicole. I look forward to the news on 9 in the morning. I guess I will have to move to WJLA in the AM, like I already did for the PM news.

Ok, so help me out---I have been on vacation and returned this morning to watch Nicole and she was not there?? They replaced her with the blonde curly Q chick aka Miss Metro?? Please say NO that she is not Nicole's replacement!!!

I like Nichole -- she and the weather lady are the main reasons I watch (no, not a sexist thing -- I like their road info and the news is about the same everywhere)-- but I also liked the "blonde curly Q chick aka Miss Metro" this morning.

I'll be staying with WUSA 9 in the am until I leave for work at 6am.

So What's the story? Is Nicole simply on vacation, or is she moving forward to better things?-MN

She is not on a vacation unfortunately. I emailed the GM for the station and he said that they have decide to switch from Mero Traffic for whom Nicole worked to traffic.com as it has better graphics and gizmos to use in the morning for the DC rush hour..

Bottom line Nicole is out and graphics are in..

I'm afraid Miss Curly Q really is Nicole's replacement. I don't know which is worse--watching her or listening to her voice. And the graphics they are using now look like they are designed for pre-schoolers.

I truly miss Nicole's informative traffic report. WUSA should dump the Jay Leno look alike weather girl and bring back Nicole.

I generally tune in to WUSA news, weekday mornings between 5 AM and 6 AM. I have been out of the country for 2 weeks. When I returned to the U.S., and tuned in on 8/22/2007 and 8/23/2007, I noticed that the new early morning Bratz doll look-alike traffic reporter (Miss Metro) was missing. Has WUSA come to their senses (hopefully)?

Otherwise, your morning team, Andrea, Mike and Kim are an early morning breath of fresh air.

The morning team is now incomplete without Nicole. They were a great team together. Bring back Nicole and get rid of the pre-school graphics.

Since Nicole's debut her segments have been plagued with incorrect info,multiple verbal blunders,lack of personality with occassional forced enthusiasm and smiles and let us not forget the obvious lack of on set chemistry.This is not to say Nicole doesnt have talent it just may not be in delivering traffic reports.It aint rocket science to read what is on the teleprompter in a cordially engaging manner.She simply lacked this from the start and I knew it was just a matter of time...Sorry but the concept that she was "let go" is not a big shocker.The new way that the traffic report is done now without an on-camera reporter is jsut as good if not better since watching her segment were painful and embarrasing to watch.Good luck Nicole

Enough with the put downs toward thefill in/replacement traffic reporters.It is a TRAFFIC REPORT people,lighten up!It is refresing to have someone with a personality deliver the reports for a change who is interesting to look at as well.Who I may add can read a teleprompter and smile at the same time.

Nicole O'brian is/was a great reporter.
