While no one, in my opinion, can blame these celebs for having the money and resources to go to hell and back, get the best help and hopefully revive their careers, the special treatment they receive disturbs me a bit.
I recently read an article about a man who was or is suing one of the better rehab facilities for being ignored compared to the well know other clients even though he paid as much as they did. I know first hand that when a celeb (even what they call a D lister) enters a rehab or psych facility, they get special treatment despite what the owners and staff would have you believe. Not to say that they do better in their disease and recovery, it is just more "pleasant" shall we say for them to be there than the average Joe or Jane. Of course the downside is that the whole world is privy to their business. But, hey, aren't we the people who in essence pay their large salaries and buy the magazines, watch the movies, TV shows, etc?
When I left the unnamed facility that had some unnamed celebs, I didn't get any calls offering me support. Nor was I treated all that well when I was in the facility.
Owners, we know you lure us mere mortals into your places because of the celebs you get. Shouldn't we get the same treatment?
