'American Idol': Can David Cook Sustain A Rock Career After The Show?

Yes, I believe Cook CAN sustain a career in rock. I've picked him to win since the final 24. He's original, unique, passionate and more authentic then anyone he's competing against.
What I want to know, if ANYONE knows, will he be auditioning drummers at anytime? I live in Jefferson City and have played professionally for over 8 years. I would love to back him.

Cook has suprised me with his interpretations of popular songs. I've never voted for him....OK, maybe once when he performed the rock remix of "Billie Jean"...but, he does seem to have amassed a strong A.I. following.

Archuleta only has all the preteens voting. David Cook is the winner all the way! I've said that for weeks. Too bad some think this is a popularity contest.

Cooks extemely odd shaped head, topic of call in radio show "Celebrity Gross-outs" in Tucson Arizona, drew alot of responses on this morning show. One listener recommended to David,(who was fielding the live calls) that he call his post Idol band "Talking Big Heads". Cook, whose "idol" profile described the childhood malady that caused the massive cranium ballooning, said thats why he combs his hair forward and over his misshaped skull.

I don't think so, unless he can still fit his shirts over his head!! He acts like everyone loves him and he is the best thing going! No where near as good as Daughtry! He has a bad attitude. David A is going to win anyway, I think Idol wants a tenniebopper (?) kinda reminds me of the young Donny Osmond!!

I don't get what all the hype is about Archuletta. He is SO cookie cutter. He sounds the same with EVERY song he does and acts as though he is afraid to move 3 steps out of his comfort zone. He has ABSOLUTELY NO stage presence and bores me to tears. Yes, he has a good voice, I give him that, but it takes more to be a good performer. David Cook is a musical genius and even if he doesn't win, he will be just fine.

Well, maybe if I knew how to "show" my head. I can see that you are obviously one of Archuletta's 16 year old groupies. I was not bashing Archuletta, I said that he had a great voice. I guess that's the difference between a 32 year old maturity level and a 16 year old maturity level.

I guess what amazes me is what 16yr olds?? I have 3 teens and they all say Archuleta, who by the way is grandma's favorite, is cute but sings the older folks songs. He hasn't boogied or rocked the entire season and I don't blame him because I think his voice is limited to the slow songs.
