The Beatles weren't the cause of everything. It's my point and it's not necessarily right. I'm just expressing my point over this communist thing. And, I would like to add that I'm not a communist(or anything). My ideal political system is that on which you reap what you sow. If any kind of government will allow you to do so. And in the end, they won't. They are all disguised man. Into republican, democrat suits. Communist suits. Haven't you got the meaning yet?

My advice would be if its your opinion than say it like that, "In my opinion, the Beatles had nothing to do with....". I never said they were "the cause of everything" I was just stating some of the great things they did for the world, they sure did make the world a much better place. Some people will never agree but they are in the minority. There will always be those jerks that try to tear down good people. |

1 the reason millions of FOOLS LOVE them is the same reason people love N'STINK and suckny spears . because they wouldn't know GOOD talent if it slapped them in the face . millions of people love 50CENT and RHIANNAH.....doesn't mean it's good . the kinks guitarist INVENTED distortion . there are amps NAMED after him . which he DISCOVERED by cutting his speakers slightly gave him that sound . nirvana : "smells like teen spirit " ; "lithium " ; " in bloom " ; " rape me " ......just to name some of the 30 songs on the charts . you're hung up on some schwag band from the 60's man . this is what i notice about ALL beatles fans . some of the MOST close minded people in the world . there are other bands out there . they are FAR from the " greatest band in the world " feedback......many bands did it before them . you're just hellbent on defending a bunch of washed up bubble-gum pop princes . |

You are the close minded one here. This guy gave you facts, but you refuse to accept them. Your hatred has clearly destroyed any logical thinking from you. It's best for you to SHUT UP, your not making sense. Everything your saying is being proved wrong. You hate the Beatles, fine we accept that. But you trying to prove them as buble gum only makes you look stupid. Quit before you really look even more stupid, if that's possible, lol. As a Beatle's fan, I appreciate their influences and the bands tjhey have influenced, but you are coming in and making foolish statements without merit. If your upset that the Beatles stole Frankie Avalon's space, I feel your pain, but GET over it and move on. Brian explained everything perfect for you, if you don't get it, you have issues. |

I know your mad, I would be too if I were as wrong as you. John Fogerty was CCR. He joined in 1967, look it up. His brother had a piss ant group in 1959, but it was not CCR. |

It's so sad to see a person as you so stuck only in American groups, you need to open your mind a bit. |
You saw the sliver in my eye but not the timber in yours. |

Forget it awc, this guy must have taken a grenade in his helmet in Vietnam. How is it CCR is still touring? There's only one guy left. Oh yeah, so is Foreigner, REO, Styx, Three Dog Night and the Platters...I find it funny how he keeps stating the same stuff without any facts to back up his assertions. And as for being hung up on a group from the 60's, wasn't CCR's best days in the 60's too? He wants us to think that one top 200 song by Tom (not John) Fogerty is the equivalent to "I Want To Hold Your Hand". I love all classic rock including CCR (Stones, Who, Kinks, Petty, Springsteen but let's face the facts here, there is only one Beatles. Ask Mick, Pete, Ray, Tom and Bruce...they all acknowledge the one group who made it all possible. You don't have to love them but you must respect them for what they did. |
|
Yes, I state facts not opinions...facts can be checked, opinions are just that. I quoted a famous political expert whose job it is to study those types of things. Your opinion was that they had nothing to do with it. That's all fine and nice but I'll stick with the experts if you don't mind. Nothing personal, cheers. |

I agree, you just can't argue with a sick mind. I love CCR, I have many of their cds and even saw Joh Fogerty live in 1998, but as you said it was Tom, not John who was in a group with a mild radio hit in 1959, a far cry from CCR. Stu and Doug formed Creedance Clearwater Revisited , back in the 90s using a chubby ,bald screaming guy to replace Fogerty. And I too love those other groups you mentioned, The Stones,Springsteen, and the Who, and they themselves have aknowledged the Beatles as their inspirations. I also love Elvis, but he never wrote his songs, he just sang them with soul. For someone to just notice the mop top era of the Beatles and omit the more creative period, is just gathering on a tiny portion of their history. The Beatles were not just a rock band, they were creative marvels. Had this guy just stated that he didn't like the Beatles, I could understand, but to say the Beatles were a pop band, who are untalented makes me think he's a hater. |

I listen to everything from the 1950's to the present. Just depends on my mood. I like all these classic rock bands people have mentioned...except I think Springsteen is way overated. Anyways, without a doubt the Beatles are the best. The Stones were pretty close but not close enough. Singer wise nobody beats Elvis's voice. My favorite Beatles song is probably,"Ticket To Ride." Love the guitars and drums in that song. If Epstein hadn't died maybe they would have lasted longer. As Lennon said upon hearing of his death, "we're f--ked now."

You can stick to anyone you like. I know what you mean or what this expert means. It's true that the Beatles influenced the Russian youth just like any country's youth. There are many things also we can't ignore over this and behind this. Anyway, it's off topic I guess. Take care. |

Even though I like Bruce I have to say that I saw him in 1999 and I was majorly disappointed. Out of the 20 songs he played I knew maybe 7. He defintitely caters to the hard core fan as he plays mostly deep cuts that the casual fan just doesn't know. On the other hand I have seen Petty a half dozen times and he just gets better each time. He sticks to the songs he knows the fans love and when tickets climb to $100 each that's what most people want in my opinion. BTW, many people don't know this but "Ticket To Ride" is considered by most musicians the first heavy metal record. |
|
I agree, as Keith Richards once said "after all those years it was blue jeans and guitars that tore down the Berlin Wall". |
