An upcoming concert by Paul McCartney has revived memories of the 1960s, when an Israeli official supposedly called off a Beatles concert for fear it would corrupt the nation's youth.

I'll start, WHo really cares about what Paul McArtney says. The only reason the Beatles were good because they were First. If they were out now they'd be a band on the level of the JONAS BROTHERS performing daily at Disney World

Can anybody recommend a good Paul album? I recently got that first Wings record and was sorely disappointed. Jet and Band on the Run (title track) always astound.. but that' about it.

I want something catchy but not frumpy. I feel like I'm listening to old people's music.

I like to hear this stuff from like 1970 and think how revolutionary it was at the time. I imagine people doing their drugs to it and being wowed.(no matter how much stronger they are now :D)

P.S. This concert is too expensive. Few Israelis can afford to go :( It should be free!

If the Beatles were out now they would be Beatles. Meaning the greatest band of all time. They would upstage anybody, anything. Yes, folks; That's a fact. It's not my imagination or my Beatlemania which speaks. Sometimes I think it was better that they split in 1970 and they haven't become like the Stones(or maybe they wouldn't have become like them, they had something special no other band had, which would prevent something like that). Likewize, if they were a band today we would listen to great music. Not the crap which is on the radio and the Top ten.

I think that BOB MARLEY dude smoked a little too much crack...The Beatles are and always will be the greatest rock band of all time. The reason they were the first is just that, they were good enough to be first. How many years has the music world been looking for the next Beatles anyway? It's like whenever the next hot politician comes along they pronounce him the next JFK. If the Stones, the Who and Dylan couldn't knock the Beatles off do you think anybody from this pathetic music generation will? Forget it.

What a tool. For one thing, the Beatles were not "first". Do your homework.

Second, if they were on the level of the Jonas Brothers today...they would be making millions just like they did back in the day.

People, do your research before making yourselves look like ignorant tools!

Whoa this guy really knows his stuff. I worked with them and they are 4 of the whiniest musicians I've ever met. I should of taken the
Stones offer when they were looking for a producer. PS Heather Mills is HOTTT

Would you get off the spell check kick. the extra letters are to emphasize her complete hotttness. SO if you can't come back with any other blasts, than spell check. Stop and admit that the Beatles weren't that great
