I can imagine! -Michelle- wrote: <quoted text> I love going to various ballparks in different states to catch games. New York is definitely on my list because not only do I want to go to see the Mets and Yankees, I also would love to see the Blackhawks play the Rangers and Islanders and to go to the Garden to see the Westminster Kennel Club dog show. That's a cool goal. New York is definitely a destination chock full of goodies, but you'd have to come multiple times in order to hit all the teams you want to see plus the dog show! LOL! That sounds like a bucket list. Hit all the ballparks in the U.S. before you die. : D

Ink wrote: <quoted text> Cancer is either agressive and going to kill you or not. What kind or cancer isn't a killer but 'needs' chemo? Well, Dr. Ink, I personally know of a couple of cases that weren't considered "fatal" but required chemo to get under control. I know of another that required high doses of radiation. The goal is to prevent metastasizing. Once a cancer metastasizes, it is more likely to be fatal.

I do believe the topic of abortion has a large part in how this situation unfolded. Regards. I disagree. I think that the false agenda behind this concern for this young girl is what this is really about. If that same woman had no cancer, but was just involved in a car accident(while pregnant)and needed IMMEDIATE EMERGENCY surgery, those Dr's would have done whatever it took to save her life...even if INDIRECTLY it took the life of her child and she miscarried because of it.

The only credit thing that you said was that chemo is a poison. It is deadly to people. It's why many women and men go alternative routes to treat and CURE their cancer. My bro in law,Suzanne Somers,Farah Fawcett(although she began that way too late in her cancer stages),etc.. kthanks.

Just imagine that pain as they passed through your digestive tract and *out*. I had that experience in my 20's and I can not describe the agony I was in. Susanm wrote: <quoted text> "Firstly, you wazzack, one does not need to abstain in order not to conceive, cancer or no cancer. There are so many alternatives, yes, there is one out there for everyone." Good point, and if everyone used them, correctly and consistantly, when they didn't want to get pregnant there would be little "need" for abortion. Now that being said, if you want to see the end of elective abortions, fighting to remove birth control is stupid. Abstinence is free. It is drug free. It is safe. It is affective if one educates themself. Don't know of anyone who believes that one should ALWAYS have sex specifically on their fertile days. From what I hear, the men are complaining about their wives not wanting sex so I DON'T think abstinence is a problem for women. LOL Proaborts have killing(abortion)as a back up alternative. No need to go that EXTRA mile of self-discpline,self-denial in order to prevent pregnancy. 4,000 abortions a DAY in THIS country alone...speaks VOLUMES.

The termination of a pregnancy is an abortion, regardless of how, why, by what method, or for what reason, it's performed. "Someone," somewhere, will "perceive" anything as being anything they care to. Including the use of abortion to treat a woman with cancer, before treating her with chemo. I would consider the termination of pregnancy before chemotherapy to be as therapeutic FOR THE WOMAN's health as she and her physician do. Beyond that, it's not my business.

LadiLulu wrote: <quoted text> Oh, believe me, I totally get it! Since I drink such huge amounts of water, I really need to have peace of mind about it. If you receive your water from a water supplier, you are *fine*. I am SO frustrated from the crap that is added to our food. Between fat and salt and chemicals, it's ridiculous. Did you know the term "natural flavor" is really referring to MSG? It's a little game the companies play with us. They know how to sneak around the FDA rules. I buy as fresh and as raw as possible. We weren't really brought up on processed foods, so it wasn't that hard for me to stick with. That is awesome that you have your own organic garden! I don't have the space for that. I was discussing this claim from you that our drinking water is 'perfectly fine'. Here is what a professional had to say about it..... We all know the importance of drinking clean pure water but how many of you know that bathing in chlorine water can actually be WORSE than drinking it? If you plan to, or have already taken action to effectively filter your drinking water from chlorine and other hazardous chemicals, I commend you for a very smart, healthy decision. It's an excellent start to protect yourself and your family by providing clean drinking water… as well as safe water for cooking and washing produce. However, there's a much greater source of water toxin exposure that you face every day… which could be as much as 10-20 times greater than the water you drink. The issue with chlorine is not just way it smells or dries out your hair or skin,, but what it produces in your water supply when it combines with organic matter. When chlorine interacts with this organic matter, disinfection byproducts (DBPs) form. And these DBPs are far more toxic than the chlorine itself. In fact, DBPs are responsible for the vast majority of the toxic effects of chlorinated water. As it turns out, estimates range as high as 10,000 times… the toxicity of DBPs compared to the actual chlorine. So, that's why I feel closer attention needs to be paid to the DBPs found in your water. Why are DBPs so dangerous? Some of the most common disinfection byproducts that form from the reaction of chlorine and organic matter are trihalomethanes (THMs). THMs are classified as Cancer Group B carcinogens… meaning they've been shown to cause cancer in laboratory animals

continued to lala..
Here's some startling information about the dangers of chlorine exposure beyond your drinking water…
On average, you drink about 1-2 gallons of water per day… but you expose yourself to 25 gallons of water when you shower. As concluded by the American Journal of Public Health… up to two-thirds of harmful chlorine exposure can be due to skin absorption and inhalation while showering. The steam inhaled during a shower can contain up to 20 times the concentration of chlorine (and other synthetic chemicals) as tap water. You can easily absorb as many toxins in 1 shower as you would drinking tap water for an entire week. Studies show that after a 10-minute shower in chlorinated water, your blood levels of THMs (common disinfection byproduct – DBP) can potentially increase by as much as a staggering 700%. The bottom line… chlorine and its byproducts are the unseen danger lurking in almost every shower. And your health risks can far exceed those of simply drinking tap water.
Now you know why I'm making it clear that filtering only your drinking water is not enough. That hot steamy shower you love so much and find soothing and relaxing, well, it's potentially filled with vaporized gasses that could harm you and your family.
So, what can you do to avoid all this? I'll get to that coming up, but first let me get into a few more details on why chlorine, DBPs, and other chemicals found in your shower can get into your system so easily

American Journal of Public Health – Linked chlorine absorption and inhalation exposure to increased cancer, asthma, and skin irritation risks. U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)– When chlorine vaporizes in steam in your shower, it converts to chloroform gas. Chloroform can be a strong respiratory irritant and cause fatigue. The bottom line – When absorbed or inhaled into your body, chlorine DBPs can potentially cause… weakening of your immune system… disruptions to your central nervous system… damaging effects to your cardio system… unhealthy functioning of your renal system… and harmful impacts to your respiratory system

Of course you're not worried about getting anyone pregnant. That's 3/4 of the problem - uncastrated men, who don't care whether or not they impregnate, just whether or not women carry our pregnancies to term. I have an idea -- let's sterilize everyone at birth, for two generations. No pregnancy, no abortion, for at least 30 years. Then we can resume the discussion if necessary, before going back to allowing pregnancy at will. Problem solved.
