In fact, there's 2 that are close to my work and my house that I'll never shop it and I'll drive out of my way to go to the nice one. When it comes to groceries, I have 4 stores that I shop from to get the best prices. Even then so, food isn't cheap around here especially the healthy stuff. As far as the Midwest goes, there's so many beautiful places out here. I think for my next trip, I may pack the kids and the dogs in the War Tank and take a road trip to Colorado to catch a Cubs/Rockies series and then hit Yellowstone Park. I've always wanted to see Bison roam free.:o) You're lucky. I think. The Wal-Marts around here smell funny and are dirty. There are only 2 that I've been to and I have only gone once to each. The prices aren't that competitive to make it worth my while. I buy organic milk and cage-free organic eggs, at a minimum. What's cool about the milk is is that although it is really expensive, it lasts forever. When I used to buy regular milk it would expire too soon and I'd end up dumping it out. If you look at the organic milk expiration dates, they are often a good month ahead. Makes me wonder how processing regular milk makes it so fragile. I've flown to San Diego, Phoenix, and Las Vegas. So I've only flown over the midwest. My niece recently moved to Colorado, and I've always wanted to visit there. You're a hoot with those Cubs games, you know! LOL!

Like I said, don't get pissy with me just because you're (note the proper usage) a known liar, and I pointed it out. I live the good life, my friends live the good life, a seventy five thousand dollar house is great for a rural area, more modern than yours, we have indoor plumbing.

When did food preferences become moral issues or proof of some twisted form of elitism? I suppose FDR was a backwoods yokel since he fed the king and queen of england hot dogs? I don't know what her food preferences are and it hardly matters; it's just one more thing that is none of your business. pupsilicious wrote: <quoted text>We all know what YOU feed your family....You use alot of mac and cheese, huge burritosand tons of spaghetti and you was it down with Mountain dew four, five times a day ,dontcha? Do you put mountain dew in the baby bottles? Do you make gogo juice ? We all know you came up with that.

Just make sure you check into the crime rates of any area you move into. Parts of detroit are like south-side chicago. elise in burque wrote: <quoted text>More than that, it is an extremely economically depressed area, if they are selling property for that low. I was offered a nursing job in Detroit, where they are practically givong houses away. I'm thinking about taking it. They are so desperate for medical personnel, the incentive packages are phenomenal, and it would be providing a valuable service.

Detroit is no less safe than some places I have lived, believe me. The cold is something I'm more wary of. It's just something I'm considering. So many options, so little time :-\ Thanks, Ladi.

I have a couple of friends from Detroit. Plus, the recruiters usually have a bunch of info. And I have internet access, hahaha. I will probably stay in NM for a while, anyway.

My friend tells me that you can rent a studio/living space in the art district extremely cheap. She has a studio there and one in Santa Fe, which is stupid expensive.

Dish is about the same. Net Flick is 8.00,another 8.00 for DVD's. Having a computer lets you watch, regular programs up to date the next day. I have a computer hooked up to my T.V..I don't believe I'm over spending..:) First, we should look at what she thinks a hillbilly is. An interest piece is here.. http://www.celticozarkian.com/2011/08/what-is...

I don't think its bad to spend money on cable. I simply can't afford the 100.00 for cable,so I simply improvise ,on what I got.
