Cedric the Entertainer

His mom was my 5th grade science teacher at the lee rood annex. Mrs. Kyles.

Mrs Kyles taught me also in school. I'll never forget getting my knuckles busted by her ruler.! She was a SUPER teacher. If you wanted to learn she would go way beyond helping you, but mess up in her class and you got to meet her ruler across you knuckles.... Where are the teachers like her today?????????

Teachers aren't allowed to touch a child in such a manner or demand respect from the students anymore! They are supposed to just take whatever the kids give them or send them to the principal. We need more "stand up" kind of teachers who won't accept less that they demand! |

It would be nice if he could help pay for a new school! I know it's not his responsibility, just getting desperate here! Kinda the way that Sheryl Crow help revitalize Kennett, with the new pool and everything.

He doesn't give a crap about C'ville. He wouldn't even come back here for the 150th celebration. I think that is kinda bad. |
|
Willie I have to admit that I don't care much for your comments most of the time, but damn it boy you make me laugh! |

If you'll notice in his bio the hometown is somewhere like St. Louis or somewhere other than here. If you think anyone that owe's Caruthersville the fact of who they have turned out to be or for who they are is gonna step up you are kidding yourselves. I hate to say it but it is true. The only people that ya'll can rely on is the ones that are part of the present experience itself. As long as the one's that are part of it refuse to take a stand nothing will change. Cedric doesn't give a shit because the people involved personally don't give a shit enough to do something/anything in the first place. Caruthersville either needs to shit or get off the pot!!!!!!

Mrs. Kyles burned that insense in class so we could smell what pot smelled like. Cool huh.

I have to agree with you. Why would anybody want to claim to be from Caruthersville anyways? What does Caruthersville have to be proud of? I think he made a good choice in selecting someplace else to call home. |
|
Wait a minute. Y'all are serious aren't you? Cedric is actually from Caruthersville? I didn't know that nor would I have ever guessed it.

http://www.premiere.com/features/4394/q-a-exc... Do you go back home often? I go back to Missouri. I spend a lot of my time in St. Louis, but I also grew up in Caruthersville, Missouri as well from when I was a little kid until when I was about nine or ten. I lived in a small, rural town in Missouri and I still have some relatives there. So I'll go down there and visit as well sometimes.[When you're in Caruthersville] you sit out on the porch and wave when people go by. That's it. That's pretty much the activities you get. You get in the car and you drive around a few blocks. It's idyllic. Yes. This is country life. People will ride past and you wave every time they go past. You don't see that much in any metropolitan area. In any metropolitan area it'd be like, "What you waving at? Why you lookin' at me? Whaaaat?" [The other guy will say] " I ain't going down the street. They're always sitting around waving at somebody." And you're like, "Sorry, it's a wave. How does that hurt you?" |

I you would have watched his movie "Johnson's Family Reunion", his family is going home to Caruthersville,MO. They talk about it all the way through the movie. When they arrive, there's even a banner on poles with their family's name and Caruthersville, Mo. printed on it. Although they really didn't film it here, at least they put it in the movie.

I meant *if* you would have watched his movie, sorry for the typo.
