About a year or so ago I was at a local business when two men got out of a car. At first, I did not know the person getting out of the passenger seat was a man and actually was somewhat dressed up like a women and had a bonnet on, no bs! He then went to the back seat of the car and a child got out of the car and the man said “come with mommy”. The man took his bonnet off and they proceded to go into the local business. Does anyone in their right mind think this is how our future should be raised because this is going on right under our nose and before our very eyes. What on earth has gone wrong with this country?

The women, as any Indian knows, are the "real receptacles" of power. But there is a problem here. If women choose to abrogate this gift and become as men, then I see little hope. It is the women of the world who must stand up and say,"Enough is enough! We will no longer support your destruction, your war, and your violence toward life. Oh, no. The "bonnet" tale yet AGAIN. There is NO one who has not read that yet. ONCE again, do you judge the whole group over the activities of ONE?

I was at the market the other day and saw some huge fat ass woman, screaming at her kids, yanking them out of their filthy dirty car, by the arm, cursing, shaking them terribly. I was tempted to call the cops, but it would be useless for they would be long gone. I could tell she hated them and resented them and wished she was not saddled with them. I suppose EVERY hetero parent treats her kids this way...if we are to follow YOUR logic that every single person is stamped out of an identical mold.

I say take what we can get. Obviously Bill takes a more reasonable stance regarding fairness toward transgendered people, but a television show is a different story. Personally, I don't watch Glee and have seldom found any gay-themed television shows of interest besides Will and Grace. The reason being I think most gay-themed television shows rely too much on gay club-kid stereotypes when depicting their characters. There is so much more diversity in the LGBT community than that! I disagree with his assessment that Glee promotes teenagers experimenting with being trans or gay (teenagers will experiment with sex regardless), and what's the big deal about someone cross-dressing? My uncle is totally straight, but he dresses as a woman every year for Mardi Gras. I don't see why Bill has a problem here, but then again, I don't consider it a big issue. There's people who are a bigger problem out there than Bill, so let's just be glad he voices a favorable opinion on subjects regarding fairness and leave it at that.

Which of your body parts or hormones would YOU have to lose, to start believing your were female?

If gender is ONLY about what can be seen physically, how does a blind and deaf person know what gender they are?

Could it be something deeper is at play here, deeper than physical characteristics? Could it be that we just all know? Without seeing? Without being told?

And if that is the case, why in the world would you have such a hard time understanding that some folks might just "know" that there are not the gender they appear to be?

And if that is true for a few humans out there, and since it isn't any of your business and does not affect you, why bother to pretend you know anything about it, or care?

Even genitalia can be ambiguous for a certain percentage of babies.

Thank you again for your excellent job of spelling it out to Mr Wolf. Of course He won't believe a word of it, But at least he's getting exposure to the other side of it. The ancillary symptoms you describe are real! Even worse than your words can convey. I know, I lived it. I was born in the late 40s and grew up at a time when the prevailing attitudes were just what was reflected by the writer. As a result, I did not get the help I should have. Fortunately, I did not go off the deep end as many do. I did get "help" but it was not focused on gender, but other, more imagined or misdiagnosed, diagnoses. I knew what my problem was, but I just couldn't talk about it. Yes, I was the only one and I was the worst person in the world for having it, Blah, blah, blah! And I went, silently, and inexorably crazy with it! It didn't help to have a Dr tell me that he considered a sex change the one act more extreme than suicide. Let the writer, Mr Wolf, experience just one bout of what I call "Gender Hell"! Thanks again!

Please tell me how ONE oddball reflects on a whole population? I've seen WILDLY inappropriate behavior of straight women with their kids, far more insane than your much beloved and overly repeated "bonnet" tale. For one, maybe the dad was dressed oddly, but even YOU admit he was being a loving parent.

I've seen hetero women dressed like whores and screaming at their children as if they hated them. I suppose that is fine and dandy with you. Which kid has it worse?
