I have the opportunity to volunteer to go work in Iraq for a year (detainee operations)with the Navy/Army. Yes or No? My only issue is my wife and kid (8 years old boy). I have a steady job that will still be here when I get back. I welcome comments on both the yes side and the no side

Welcome Home! Thank you for what you and your fellow soldiers do. My son-in-law is in Iraq right now and I know how hard it is to leave your family. We do appreciate what you're doing and will keep you and your family in our hearts and prayers. God Bless You!

she didnt seem to like the idea, but she would support my decision i think. Its like $5000 a month vice the $2500 i make now
