Franklin Graham, celebrity hypocrite, opposes missionary endeavors during the Olympic Games in China...ignoring the fact that China has the worst human rights violations of any country, and secretly kills and persecutes persons of all relgious persuasions, and especially targets Christians. China only allows outsiders to visit the "official" Chinese "Three Self Church" which is controlled by the Chinese government, but is apostate and anything BUT the true gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Perhaps, Graham feels that the Olympic Games is not the right venue for trying to challenge or change the religious beliefs of peoples of another country. Maybe he sees the wisdom of respecting the notion that other countries may not WANT to be Christians.

I agree. Maybe Graham is trying to set an example for other Christians. What example is that? RESPECT for those who choose to be a non-Christian. How arrogant to barge into another country and try to force feed a religion down the throats of its citizens. Good for Graham.

Respectfully, Jesus didn't tell believers to go and put a gun to people's heads and try to force them to believe, he simply said to tell folks about the gospel. There is a vast distinction between the two.

You can't force spiritual conversion on people. There has to be a change in the heart.

Christians have a mandate to preach the gospel, and thousands if not hundreds of thousands have paid with their lives doing just that.

There is a growing, very spiritual, underground church in China, but it is heavily persecuted by the Communist government.

Jesus:
15 "And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to the whole creation". Mark 16

I see your point of view, however, I was just "judging" by Christianity's "track record". You know...go into a country, "teach", and if the natives don't become Christians, then kill them or enslave them and destroy their culture. Of course, Christianity is not the only religion to do this. Most religions advocate violence and most definately USE it and Christianity is no different.

Christianity's track record in the past ( I hope we learned from the past), we ARE different.
Muslim's mandate is simple. Convert or destroy. Thats right...they will never accept peace with us because they get to heaven 'better' for killing us infadels.

There are CHRISTIANS and then there are pseudo christians.......it's always been that way. Even the New Testament warns believers of this.

We should understand that Satan works against God best INSIDE the group of believers. Anyone who's mindset is to kill or enslave, is not really a true Christian.

Let the Christian Olympian atheletes speak to any Chinese person who seems to be interested in hearing the gospel of Jesus Christ. The Chinese Communist government doesn't "own" China. God does.

The Communists have driven the REAL Chinese Christians underground, and persecute them severely, torturing, murdering, empoverishing, and throwing them into prison for extended terms in the most dismal conditions imaginable. Yet, the church is purported to be 100 million and growing. The Chinese people have been kept in the dark, but the LIGHT of Christ is coming in, and they are hungry for Jesus and Liberty in the Spirit.

"If Satan and the powers of darkness could ever stop the people of God from being led by the Spirit of God, they would successfully thwart the power of God because the power of God is released through obedience. The enemy is never threatened by those "having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof..." (2 Tim. 3:5).

The enemy is threatened, however, by a company of overcomers today who dare to deny themselves and take up their cross daily (Luke 9:23), who dare to follow the Lamb wherever He goes. He trembles at the very emergence of these crucified ones."
