Ok...Sooo what was a 19 month old doing in the shower and why were those babies in the bathroom alone while their mother was doing dishes.

My question too.. why was a 19 month old in a shower alone...? and why carry the child to the leasing office? CALL 911...

Seriously this is just pure stupidness. I hope they do not let her keep her 19 month old. Who in the hell takes a 19 month old a shower and leaves them alone seriously. My daughters are 6 and 4 and i wouldnt let them alone in the bathtub yet alone allow either of them to take a shower by themselves as a matter of fact i wouldnt even take them a shower the water is going to go directly in thier face. This world is coming to an end. This really saddens me.

OK Yeah....I came here to comment on the 19 month old being in the shower...but I see it's already been discussed....my opinions = ditto.

A 19th month old taking a shower? Right on! My child is 19 months old and I don't let her even stand up in the bathtub. Please say this is wrong and the 19th month old was taking a bath!

I totally agree with you guys. I don't buy the shower bit. Not at all. There's a little cover up going on here. I would buy it that there was a bath going on maybe, but shower? Don't think so. Mom woke up stupid today and left those kids unattended. I wonder what she was really doing because I doubt it was dishes!

I think this story is a little fishy, God bless that poor little baby.

I do hope the child will be ok. I also question why is a 19 month old in the shower alone. Do I understand correctly that the 9mth old was also in the bathroom? I don't get it either. What would posses a mother to leave kids of that age alone much less in the shower and bathroom unsupervised. I'll bet she was on the phone. Seems like people nowadays have that thing growing out of their ear.

There is something really strange about this story. There will probably be something more coming out. A 9 month is old enough to roll around, probably crawl, and go from laying to sitting. A child is not going to just lay in a puddle and drown, instinct will drive them to move away from the water. (Unless the child is physically handicapped)

Not only does the shower part seem fishy, and leaving the a 19 month old and 9 month old alone in the bathroom with the shower on seem fishy, but supposedly the 9 month old's injuries came from being face down in a puddle of water on the floor? Is he disabled that he couldn't crawl away from a puddle or turn his head away from a puddle? Clearly either the reports of the story are not accurate, or the story itself doesn't seem to be. As for the phone, it maybe that the mother didn't have a phone?.......My prayers go out to the children, but also the apartment staff working in the office, as well as the first responders.

I guess this Mother{ If you want for to call her that} Thinks that her Babies are all grown up and can handle Grown up activities Allll Alone! NOT!

This is seriously insaine if the story was written correctly. Unless the 19 month old got inside the shower playing and turned on the water, but for a puddle to aquire it must of been a while. So no it dont make sense at all. Prayers for the baby! Investigation for the mom!

a 19 month old and 9 month old? 10 months apart, guess one wasn't enough welfare and food stamps for her.

My child is 19 months old and I dont even let her stand up the in bath tub. Why was this child taking a "shower"? Im sure something will come of this.. If you can't handle 2 babies..keep your pants on!
